"We already knew the aspect of Fox News via Rupert Murdoch, Roger Ailes, Sean Hannity and Bill OReilly meeting with Chuck Schumer, Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio capturing promises to deliver favorable opinion for immigration reform. Outlined HERE We also knew, and wrote about how Fox Executives manipulated program content (including the blacklisting of amnesty critics) to support the collective agenda.
However, we did not know how far the scope of the influence was extended, nor did we know Rush Limbaugh was a direct participant willing to defraud his audience. We also did not know that Laura Ingraham and Mark Levin were lobbied to participate.
How would we know? How would anyone know? They never told their audience.
None of the aforementioned pundits ever disclosed the nature or content of the lobbying, nor their own independent determination whether to go along with the agenda, or remain willfully blind thereby benefitting it in omission.
In hindsight we can only accept their willingness to remain silent, as affirmation of their willful blindness to the overall agenda.
However, now we do know, many things make a lot more sense about how reactionary all the conservative pundits were when candidate Donald Trump announced his immigration platform to include a border wall, deportation and strict enforcement of immigration law. Now we know why most pundits reacted with such disdain.
Their opposition, heck, their knee jerk attacks upon Trump for proposing immigration enforcement, seemed stunning in June/July 2015; but now takes on an entirely new light."

How can freepers follow this delusional lunatic named “Sundance.” Yuck!
That article mentioned that they tried to recruit rush but I don’t think he fell for it. I remember Sean Hannity worshipping rubio as some kind of conservative hero. I thought he went off his rocker.
Conspiracy nut case.
Things are coming into focus, aren’t they?
The smell of mercaptan around this is nauseating.
Fox can cancel their next GOP debate—Trump does not need to be there due to the obvious conflict of interest and lack of objectivity of Fox News.
Fast forward to today. Do you think Rush and Sean are on Trump’s side or closer to the establishment?
Details of the dinner, and a previous one in 2011, were provided to The New York Times by an attendee of one of the meetings and two people with knowledge of what was discussed at both get-togethers.
None of the attendees agreed to be identified for this article because the conversations were supposed to be confidential.
But on Monday, Mr. Limbaugh shed light on his interactions with the senators when he told a caller frustrated with his criticism of Mr. Rubio that the immigration position the senator had advocated comes right out of the Gang of Eight bill.
Mr. Limbaugh added, Ive had it explained to me by no less than Senator Schumer.
Rubio lied to everyone. No one is a mind reader. That failure is on Rubio, not Sean, the Tea Party, Rush, Levin or anyone who merely took him at his word and supported him back then.
A great “tag team” (”Sundance” & the New York Times) hit job. Of course, many enraptured FReepers are eager to believe every single word & innuendo.
When Trump gets all the delegates he needs, then we will see whom Rush, Hannity, and Mark Levin back...
If they change to Trump all is well but if they keep pushing Rubio or champion Romney then something is up...
but Rush has always prided himself in just attacking the Democrats and not picking a Republican early before the primaries are over...
then getting on board behind the final GOP nominee before the convention and after...even going as a guest of George Bush to the convention...
I can agree with you. The delegate count will tell us a lot. I’m feeling they are with establishment more and more. They set the table for the Donald and now they are sliding back to the Bushes.
It;s true I heard of rumors of such a meeting 3 months ago
Are you a Cruz supporter?
I really don’t believe Rush would be involved in this. Too many agent provocateurs are trying to disrupt the Republican Party so that no one votes this year and Hillary wins.
I think Free Republic has been inundated with agent provocateurs as well.
Half of everyone here has has already devoured cruz.... i guess we should pick what is left of ted out of our collective teeth and start devouring rush next.... maybe finish off be consuming and silly conservatives who are not sycophants for trump for desert...
Nom nom.... Lets all eat our own. We are delicious!!!
Last I heard Rubio’s backpeddling defense of the Gang of Eight bill was that the final legislation was never intended to be the unaltered senate version anyway. It was supposed to go to the House and then be modified through compromise, so that it would be acceptable to conservatives in the final version.
Right.
If you lie with dogs, don’t be surprised when you get fleas.
Defeat liberals. EOM
