Cruz's Religion Once Wasn't So Obvious
U.S. News And World Report ^ | Jan. 30, 2016 | WILL WEISSERT, Associated Press

...Cruz doesn't tithe. He and his wife donated less than 1 percent of their income to charity and nothing to churches, including to their own in Houston, according to tax returns from 2006 to 2010, the most recent Cruz has released.

His campaign declined requests from The Associated Press to provide recent tax returns or otherwise demonstrate donations since 2010. Cruz has said he and his wife were more focused on using their seven-figure annual income to build a financial foundation for their family.

No candidate has to release their returns. It is not required. It was a courtesy started circa in the '70s.

It is no one's business and should stop.

They ARE all required to submit a financial disclosure form before the first debate. All the candidates did this.

Only Ted's had to be amended.

As far as the latest tax returns, no candidate has submitted their return. I believe Ted is the only one who has filed for an extension.

"If he does release his post-2010 tax returns, be on the lookout to see if his "tithing" changed."

I don't know of any other churches that require "tithing" other then the LDS and the RLDS which he is not a member of. Are there others?

"Now can we talk about the problems facing the nation?”

Which is exactly what Cruz, Kasich, Rubio, Carson are doing tonight on the Kelly files. Audience people are asking questions and they are answering. Trump is nowhere to be found for this.

“When Donald Trump responds to a challenge about his past with: “I will readily admit that I have not been as faithful in this aspect of my walk as I should have been”, you will give him a big pass, right?”

The important thing is: Will the Lord forgive Trump?

The answer: of course He will.

But Trump has never asked for forgiveness. This according to Trump.

To answer your next question: No. I will not vote for Trump

I give around 10%-sometimes I round up, sometimes I miss church and don’t give. But I always give cash-no longer write checks. Only God knows how much it is.

He also knows the times it gets spent on groceries, gas or non-essentials as well. I don’t hit the Old Testament law amount, nor do I follow the New Testament principle of giving even more than 10%, but I God knows my heart.

Cruz goes to a Baptist church. I know that some Baptist church’s suggest that you tithe, but I’ve never seen it as a requirement.

Trump is quite the charitable fellow.... Now stop itching and go watch the third tier candidates sell their wares.

You know that Trump’s lawyers have told him not to until the audit has been completed.

You also know that Mark Levin, who is a big Cruz booster, has said publicly that he would never allow one of his clients to release any information of any kind until his audit was complete.

Several other tax attorneys have said the same.

And what makes this stink even more is the fact that Ted Cruz is an attorney and would advise any client of his to do the same. It is a given among all lawyers.

What do you make of this?

[2013 – TEXAS] In a sermon last year at an Irving, Texas, megachurch that helped elect Ted Cruz to the United States Senate, Cruz’ father Rafael Cruz indicated that his son was among the evangelical Christians who are anointed as “kings” to take control of all sectors of society, an agenda commonly referred to as the “Seven Mountains” mandate, and “bring the spoils of war to the priests”, thus helping to bring about a prophesied “great transfer of wealth”, from the “wicked” to righteous gentile believers.

When they release tax returns, contributions to churches and charities become public information.
