This did not go unnoticed and someone made a short clip. Rubio reached into his pocket for whatever he popped into his mouth. He seemed to swallow it without chewing it so it was probably not a mint.
Some of the commenters think he takes Adderall. They say dry mouth and sweating are side effects. Trump sure hammers on it a lot.

During an extremely stressful point in my life I had swallowed tums whole. They seemed to work better that way.

Every time we mock someone for a physical condition, we lose everyone who has or loves someone who has the same thing. This is especially true for something that cannot be changed. We also turn off people who simply don’t like mocking others. There is plenty to challenge Rubio on about his positions, record, etc. We need every vote we can possibly get.

My son took Adderall and he says he never was thirsty or had the sweats. What was going on with Rubio? He sure talked fast—real fast. What was he on?!!

I used to take that stuff. By prescription. I wouldn’t be surprised if many of them use a little something to keep their edge during the long long days and short nights of campaigning. You don’t want it to be noticeable though!

Whatever it was, he had it handy and for a quick grab. It usually takes two Excedrin and it looked like he only had one thing.
