Republican Maine Governor Paul LePage officially endorsed Donald Trump for president Friday. ...

"He's the only candidate who's showing a vision for the future," he said. "He's a businessman. I'm a businessman… I think he could be one of the greatest presidents if he sits down and puts together a good team."

This guy is more radical than most Northeast Governors

He wants to shoot drug dealers

I have to agree with him on that

Interesting that the governor is now supporting Trump. There is a New York Times article linked off Drudge saying the governor was very heated at a recent Republican meeting and insisting Trump had to be stopped.

See, “Inside the Republican Party’s Desperate Mission to Stop Donald Trump,”

“At a meeting of Republican governors the next morning, Paul R. LePage of Maine called for action. Seated at a long boardroom table at the Willard Hotel, he erupted in frustration over the state of the 2016 race, saying Mr. Trump’s nomination would deeply wound the Republican Party. Mr. LePage urged the governors to draft an open letter “to the people,” disavowing Mr. Trump and his divisive brand of politics...”

This article is even more interesting in that it reveals the GOPe plans to rig this election against the base.

One of Trumps strengths is recognizing talent and selecting the right person for the job.
I have no doubt that he will put together a winning team when elected.

They have been rigging the nomination for President for many, many years.
We have had nothing but amnesty candidates since the last amnesty.

LePage is awesome. He and Christie have seen eye to eye in the past. You can probably count LePage and Christie as a two man wrecking team now - functioning as a single unit.

Remember - it's not that they are lining up behind Trump - although physically they are. They are lining up behind America, and see that doing so on paper behind Trump is their best way to help right now.

If you believe that Trump has done exactly that - lined up behind America - which is currently in a state of abandonment and abuse - and you are not among those who believe he's faking it, then these 3 super imperfect characters are going to be a very funny team to watch and hugely good for this country.

This will be like comedy super hero's, and I mean comedy in no disparaging way. The comedy will be watching those fighting them. Woohoo! Go LePage!

Or one of the worst (like Arnold in California).

That’s the problem - nobody knows. It’s a total crap shoot.

I read that NYT article too.

It’s an account of a meeting at the Willard hotel from unnamed sources.

The endorsement is a public act.

Somebody is fibbing. NYT most likely.

I agree also. Those illegal alien Mexicans who push black tar heroin (which is far more deadly and addictive than the cartel’s brown heroin) and destroying lives, causing deaths and extreme misery. Many of those they approach are youngsters to whom they hand free samples. I read that they are ordered to sell only to whites, not non-whites.

A crap shoot with pretty decent odds vs. a choice where we are guaranteed to lose. I’ll take the gamble.

According to the polls Cruz actually beats Hillary.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/us/general_election_cruz_vs_clinton-4034.html

Whereas Trump loses to her.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/us/general_election_trump_vs_clinton-5491.html

And as Cruz points out Trump going after Hillary wouldn’t be very effective since she’ll be able to play recording after recording of how much he loved her and BJ.

Cruz would lose in a landslide. He wears on people. No charisma. He makes great presentations to an appellate panel; not so good to a political audience. If you don't understand what would happen to him, and how small his political map would be, you have no intuitive sense of American politics and should not issue opinions.

In any event, we won't be able to see whether either of our opinions about Cruz is correct, because he will never be the nominee. We will get a chance to see how it goes with Trump in November. Please remember to come apologize to me then, if you have any integrity.

“you have no intuitive sense of American politics and should not issue opinions.”

Well you certainly do since in the national poll Trump is leading Hillary - NOT!

As for my opinions, El Comandante, if you’re smart (doubtful) you will continue reading them so you can actually learn something.

“Please remember to come apologize to me then.”

Don’t hold your breath, dummy. I never said that Cruz will be the nominee (though I would like that) I was only pointing out what polls are saying. Obviously in the primaries Trump currently has the edge right now, but it’s interesting that in the generals Cruz is stronger.

Anyway if it’s Trump vs Hildabeast I’ll be voting for Trump - that’s a no brainer. What if it’s Cruz vs the beast, will you vote for Cruz?

Of course I would vote for Cruz. He started out as my No. 1. On the substance of the issues as he states them, we have practically little difference. I just don't think he can win the primary or the general, and this election is too important to have either a GOPe moron or a Goldwater lone wolf lose it. Better to win it, get some important things done, and set the stage for a Reagan conservative down the road.

I am disappointed in Cruz's strategy these latest weeks. I had hoped he would give it his best effort, and if he didn't catch fire, attack the GOPe candidates while continuing to avoid acrimony with Trump. I was hoping to see him as a potential VP pick or at least a Supreme Court justice. Now, I think he has thrown in with the GOPe in an effort to take down Trump and somehow slip past Rubio, and I don't think that is even close to an option. In the process, he has aligned with the amnesty pimp.
