Sen. Lindsey Graham should walk into the Senate chamber today and resign his seat. He would be doing America a great favor.
According to CNN, Sen. Graham said at the Washington Press Club Foundation dinner last night, "If you kill Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial is at the Senate, no one will convict you." Graham's joke crossed the line.
Joking about the murder of a presidential candidate is reckless and wrong. It makes it acceptable for other Republican politicians to say hateful things about a member of their own party. It gives Democrats political fodder. It also might inspire violence against Sen. Cruz. Graham crossed the line of acceptable behavior by a politician.
Graham's joke was despicable and he needs to resign his seat and go away.

Yes, I agree that Graham has “let ‘er rip” and it should be his undoing. Talking about murdering a fellow Senator .. that’s about as low and you can go.
I was wondering if Graham was planning to retire at the end of this year ..?? Anybody know? I don’t pay much attention to what he says, so he may have talked about it and I just never heard. If Graham was planning to retire; I think he should just do it early.
