What Christie offers Trump, then, isn't voters, and it probably isn't the emotional appeal of a beloved character. As the announcement press conference made clear, Christie will over the short term continue to play the other role he played effectively while a candidate: serial bully toward Marco Rubio.

I think it’s more like what Trump can do for Christie.
Even if Trump loses, he’ll still be in NY giving out money to corrupt politicians (great Trump line last night).

Didn’t he have to drop out shortly after that debate? Define “Effectively” on Christie’s part.

Christie’s support shows who Donald Trump really is — an Establishment RINO.

I fully expect Huckabee (and maybe even Sandtorum) to endorse Trump at whatever time Trump decides has the most shock value, at which point you’ll have Christie standing on Trump’s left and Huckabee standing on Trump’s right, yet again broadening Trump’s appeal compared the the Hillary/Sanders kommie left.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Ben Carson endorses Trump as well.

It wasn’t the debate that hurt him, I think. He just didn’t gain any traction in NH and lost the primary.
I think he’ll be useful in that he’s an articulate spokesman for Trump. As a Trump supporter, I hope he’ll do better for him than he did for Romney.

“Christieâs support shows who Donald Trump really is â an Establishment RINO.”
A line coming from the same people cheering on Rubio after dumping Cruz?
That’s rich!
The difference is that Christie isn’t running for president anymore.

Oh, ok, so he was effective by not getting hurt in the debate?

In that case, that must mean Beck’s endorsement of Cruz means Cruz is a full blown lunatic, right?

Then what does that say about Cruz endorsment of Rubio last night?
Kind of hard for you guys to sell the image of Cruz’s a purity halo over his head today.

Pitbull. One look from Christy will make Maris wet his pants. Yes, I saw Rubio’s very embarrassing rally today. He is Oklahoma City. Mario considers himself a Reagan. He has no clue of how business works. He is surprised that when a company files bankruptcy the sub contractors are the first not paid. Are you kidding me?
