Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey endorsed Donald J. Trump on Friday, a major turn in a wild race and one that gives the New York businessman a major boost as he heads into the pivotal Super Tuesday contests.
Mr. Christie was a candidate himself until he came in sixth place in New Hampshire’s primary. But his backing of Mr. Trump comes after weeks of him saying that it was time for the “entertainment†portion of the race to end, and as he had said that the type of executive leadership that a governor has is important.

I feel sorry for Freepers who think that 51% of the electorate (be it the GOP party electorate or the general one) think as insider baseball as they do.

Bingo. I've scrolled through this thread and already numerous Trumpsters are gushing with praise for Christie and touting him for Trump's cabinet or veep. The same guy they screamed "RINO!!!" and "GOP-E!!" at since the moment he announced for Governor (and even flat out lied about him and kept insisting he was "pro-abortion" because it suited their purposes. Ironically Christie actually has a good pro-life track record before running for President, unlike their savior)
But Christie has become enlightened now and wants to "Make America Great Again", so all is forgiven.

No, my problem with Christy is his stance on issues like the 2nd A and appointing muzzie judges, his weight matters nothing to me.
As a group conservatives seem to be ‘rudderless’ these days.
Hopefully we can get together and support the Republican nominee, though that is not assured after all the angry bloodletting of our own.

Yes that’s my point. They all can be tied to the GOPe. So you have to look at who the one person is that has been consistent and done what he said he’ll do.

Is it? All the sitting governors have clearly said that everything must be done to stop Trump and Christie just broke that narrative.
Unfortunately I couldn’t agree more unless Cruz pulls off a miracle in a few days. The media talking points are Rubio-Rubio-Rubio until the SEC.
Chris Christie just turned his nose up at the establishment he’s a part of. However, this makes sense because he hates Rubio, and I can’t see him endorsing Cruz.
The point is that Trump gives himself the ability to talk around the Democratic attacks in the general: You hate all immigrants! You hate women! etc.
It is absolutely amazing to see him OWN the media for months now. Every other word has been Trump for months. FREE! I went and downloaded “the art of the deal”. It is free for the asking. This is an incredible business mind in combat. Friends ask me his “Specifics” and I send them to his website. Just feeling like crap coz he allows me to see just how dumb I was. We need a professional businessman in charge. 18 trillion dollars minimum in debt has to change for the better or we are hosed.
Rubio probably could not have imagined in his wildest dreams that this is what would happen today. His nemesis Chris Christie is on the trail again & has the big guns pointed in Rubio’s direction. Trump just sucked all the oxygen out of the room .... Rubio needed to take whatever ‘gains’ people thought he made last night & keep them going. Not gonna happen.
BTW, those folks I know who watched the debate (none of them media types, GOPe types, etc.) thought Rubio was totally off-putting, juvenile, and ridiculous. I think Rubio hurt himself, but it’s going to be a delayed reaction before people realize it.

I am not crazy about Christy, however he WILL take out Rubio!!! I am quite amazed at how GREAT Trump is at this game!!! Trump has sucked the air right out of the room again as far as media talking up Rubio’s performance last night!!!! Everyone is now talking about Trump !!!
Um, Christy comes to Trump and says he wants to endorse, Trump says thanks and arranges a press conference.

Never mind, you have to much fun using anything you can to smear a candidate that is evidently whooping the crap out of yours, carry on.

Yep, look forward to an administration run by all the northeastern moderate RINOs Trump can pull together. Christie, Giuliani for starters. We all have New York values now.
