Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey endorsed Donald J. Trump on Friday, a major turn in a wild race and one that gives the New York businessman a major boost as he heads into the pivotal Super Tuesday contests.
Mr. Christie was a candidate himself until he came in sixth place in New Hampshireâs primary. But his backing of Mr. Trump comes after weeks of him saying that it was time for the âentertainmentâ portion of the race to end, and as he had said that the type of executive leadership that a governor has is important.

Jealousy will kill you from the inside by rotting the brain. First you were jealous about Sarah Palin endorsing Trump. Now Christie?

Now that Christy has endorsed Trump he will no longer be the (according to a lot of Freepers before) the big, fat, slob, who loves Obama.
I have never seen so many fickle people in my life.

Who cares? The so-called 'conservatives' have nobody but an ineligible candidate born to a foreign father in a foreign land. The establishment has an ineligible 'anchor baby' born to Cuban nationals.
Trump is a natural born Citizen of the United States of America. Protect and Defend the Constitution!

You think that Southern Conservatives, with whom I as a conservative Ohioan have worked all my life on basic Constitutional issues, would turn against a Conservative who is scoring serious breakthroughs, as the tide begins to turn in our favor—in response to those breakthroughs?
I do not think you understand those tradition loving Southern Conservatives!!
For expediency in a very Left-Leaning State, Christie may have taken a Rhino line on many issues. But that does not mean that his endorsement draws Trump in that direction. That idea is a complete non-sequitur. Trump, or any one else, would be insane to reject this endorsement.

Well, since you can’t give my an objective and honest assessment and you resort to flippancy, guess I’ll just chuckle at you post.

Wants VP considerationYou'll never get a NY/NJ ticket. Perhaps Attorney General?
I agree Christie is running for AG but not that we won't see a NY-NY ticket. Giuliani is an old friend and has "gravitas" in spades. In Trump's case, a highly regarded VP would be worth more than geographic diversity.
(If Nanny Bloomberg runs as an independent, I'm not convinced that Trump wouldn't win Manhattan.)

Endorsements are puff balls for the puffer uttering them. They get a little screen and camera time, ingratiate themselves a little to the endorsee, and are forgotten after a couple of news cycles.
Exactly. Has anyone heard from Sarah Palin lately?

“I want to know what you would be saying right now if Christy came out today for Cruz.”
Do you really need to ask? Same thing they’d say if Sarah endorsed Cruz.
