It was Marco Rubio's big moment, the one that was supposed to damage the GOP front-runner. It wasn't a bad line. The zinger illuminated that Trump wasn't self-made. It made him seem like the avatar of New York's worst values--a street hustler from pre-Giuliani Times Square.
Rubio's riposte got a laugh, but that was it. But he administered his blow too quickly, after a dizzying oppo dump of Trumpian facts--bankruptcies, lawsuits against Trump University, hiring illegal workers and so on. Like a hormonal teenager with control issues, Rubio blurted them out so quickly that the fusillade fell flat.

Trump has lied about Cruz, for one, about Carson, about Rubio, about other candidates now departed. Donald Trump lies all the time. he’s the biggest liar I know.
Ha ha...is that you MarcoSoft Rubio? That’s all he could talk about, tonight....Google this, google that. I imagine his campaign paid the Google $$ to get certain stories to be the top hit.

I wonder if he uses adult ADD medication. It might explain the mental crashes, the sweating, the very fast talk . . . the ability to memorize lines and deliver them like a firehose.

You got it. That's the way those two came across to many. He changed tactics tonight. He even waited until the crowd stopped making noises and applauding before he responded with retorts to Cruz and Rubio. The online polls even show a more pronounced win for Trump than usual.
They would be more real work than the Cuban anchor baby has ever done. It will be very satisfying to see Marco lose big time in Florida.
There was a picture I saw here the other day showing Trump on some late-night show. The host asked Trump what would he would do if he failed or had to start all over again. Trump said he'd go into multi-level marketing and start working his butt off. The audience booed. In reply, Trump said that's why he's sitting up there and the boo-birds were sitting out there.
Not at all. They whacked Trump over and over — with substance. He just threw his same empty blather at them in reply.

Trump never touched either Cruz or Rubio on rebuttal. They had him just where needed to be and exposed him as the empty suit he really is, no substance, no plan and sounds like the Clintons.
Notice too, Trump will never speak to anyone eye to eye. Cruz and Rubio will look him in the eye and speak their piece. Not Trump, and I don't trust anyone who will not speak to me eye to eye. He just points those stubby fingers sideways at them. Eye to eye contact or not trustworthy.

Gee, that’s funny....CRuz is the one who actually did scuttle up to Trump Towers to kiss Trump’s ring. CRuz has been on EVERY channel tonight telling whoppers about Trump, rather than touting his own strengths (imagine that). Me too Ted has had to piggyback on EVERYTHING Trump has said, on every policy position.
CRuz is the BIGGEST liar I know.

Glad to hear Trump treated it like it was no big deal. He always talks about how we will get tired of winning. Looks like he is getting bored of receiving attacks that draw no blood.
There is no bad night for Trump. He always goes up in the polls after each debate. Get used to it, he is the blob and he will consume everything in his path. He creeps he leaps he slides and glides across the floor and through the door and all along the wall a splotch of glotch, beware of the blob....
Rubio lied and distorted the truth...and you are happy about that?
