Points from the article worth posting here . . .
- He's a tenacious fighter for conservative principles. As shown by his work as Solicitor General and other legal arenas, he has fought for - and won - battles regarding the Second Amendment, 10th Amendment, religious liberty, pro-life issues and our military. And that commitment to conservative principles is critical when the next president will assuredly appoint at least one, if not more, Supreme Court justices during the next four years.
- He's a man of deep faith. He understands that our rights come not from government but from God, and it is the government's role to recognize and protect those rights. The fact that his faith is so important to him is a reason he has become one of the country's foremost defenders of religious liberty in the courthouse and the halls of Congress.

I'm not "supporting" either guy yet, but I'm thoroughly enjoying the fight.
It is great to fight. POTUS also has to lead.
The Cruz "faith" angle has been marred by his campaign choices.
Good luck.

You need to declare this a "Cruz Safe Zone" thread as I've heard on Trump rally threads that I commented on weeks back.
Go away, this is a Trump Safe Zone.
I am not kidding.

From the article:
The reason I so ardently support Ted Cruz for the nation's highest political office is that he is the same person, espousing the same principles that he did back in our first meeting in 2008. Integrity, by one definition, is "who you are when no one is looking." For all intents and purposes, no one was looking that day we met in February of 2008. Cruz had no reason to think I would ever have a title by my name that could be beneficial or helpful in a future political run. He was not telling me things that day to pander or win votes - it's just who he is.
Cruz- the consistent Constitutional Conservative!

While other candidates were getting a star on the Walk of Fame, Cruz was standing up to the UN, world opinion, President Bush, the national media, and his own party to get justice for two girls brutally gang-raped by illegal aliens, and defending our national and state sovereignty.
If you are not familiar with the Medellin v Texas case, look it up. It is Ted Cruz at his finest.

Choosing between Trump and Hillary would be like choosing your executioner. After analyzing what I learned about Trump, a certain biblical character kept coming to mind. People are drawn to Trump because he is bold, a mighty one. The people are feeling insecure and want Nimrod. Civilization is coming full circle. The end is like unto the beginning. Trump is an alpha, and alphas build walls and towers and all kinds of stuff. Never mind that inside his soul is a spoiled alpha-child. Nimrod (from the Hebrew root:
rebel) the mighty one built a tower; no not Trump Towers, the Tower at Babel. He was made king based on his greatness and he promised security (Josephus). People looked upon him with awe. But the kingdom he built turned into tyranny. This same scenario repeats over and again throughout history and ends with the eventual breakup of the kingdom.

I like Cruz, but prefer Trump. I preferred Cruz about a month ago, but was persuaded by events to change my preference.
If Cruz figures out how to win, I'll support him. For now, I'll continue to support Trump.

Matt Krause is a personal friend of mine. We attended law school together. Matt is going to keep moving up. He is an extremely bright and good-hearted person. FReepers who are sitting on the fence because they are not sure whether Cruz has really been a consistent conservative, you should listen to what Matt has to say. He is an extraordinary person whose testimony is reliable, honest, and worthy of trust.
Peace,
SR
