And this is wrong in a showman? Trump didn’t write the book to tell people how to become President.
Things can be said in many different ways. The same attitude could be described as giving people a dream they can believe in so that we can work together to make it come true. Its only in your spin that it is deceitful. Trump is promoting his vision of what America can become and painting the colors brightly so that people will catch fire and work to make it happen.

Your quote is from 1999 and 3 months later in 2000 Trump came out publicly and said he couldn't live with that statement on the record, he had thought as a man he had to right to speak out but that he now knew he had to speak. Trump at that time said partial birth abortion was wrong and should be against the law.
A couple years later a friend had wanted an abortion but instead the child was born and was the love of the man's life, in Trump's word's the best thing. Trump looked at that child and was changed, and has been anti abortion ever since. He will defund PP after he has learned how much of their business is abortion and has seen the video.
This has been published and referred to on FR so many times I cannot believe you are honest in being unaware.

As so many have said, it won’t work.
Anyway, Trump’s strategy of NOT being too specific has a purpose - it is to not give people like Cruz, and more particularly Hillary, much of a chance to do anything but be nasty. It appears to be a winning strategy.
Meanwhile, Hillary has policy (failures) everywhere for Trump (or whomever the nominee is) to pick over like a vulture. As Trump has said, “she has many deep flaws.”
We’ll see. Way past time.
