With Jeb Bush out, Donald Trump has widened his lead in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely Republican Voters finds Trump with 36% support, giving him a 15-point lead over Senator Marco Rubio who earns 21% of the vote. Senator Ted Cruz is in third place with 17%.
For Trump, that's a five-point gain in support from the beginning of this month just after the Iowa caucus and right before the New Hampshire primary when it was Trump 31%, Rubio 21% and Cruz 20% among likely GOP voters. Rubio's support has held steady, while support for Cruz has fallen slightly.
In mid-December, Trump led with 29% Republican support, with Cruz in second with 18% and Rubio at 15%.

He may adjust to a national constituary, but no more than Reagan.
ah, if he’s good enough for my favorite Italian (Besides Al Pacino), Rudy, he’s good enough for me.
he was a great mayor.
Well, it’s kind of self explanatory. We have the RINOs on the left of the GOP center, and the RINOs on the right from the GOP center.
Not all conservatives are Republican.
Cruz and Rubio BOTH beat Trump head-to-head.
If one of them doesn’t drop soon it’s going to be Romney all over again - a NE liberal who gets in because all the opposition is splintered.

What Trump, Rubio and Cruz are betting on to win the Nevada caucuses
The overwhelming majority of Cruz support WILL go to Rubio.
I will never vote for Trump and I think the overwhelming majority of Cruz voters feel the same way.
If he’s the nominee I won’t vote Dem, but I will vote 3rd party.
Trump cannot win. Period.

Nevada Party Tonight!!
Go Trump
Build the Wall, and Cast out the Snakes!!
Wait til after Trump wins big in NV tonight. The polls will get even better.
The thing is, you don’t have any knowledge that Trump can’t win the general. Based on what some bs poll with no one yet in the general, and 8 plus months to go? You are not psychic although you are likely close to another spelling of the word.
Wait for it:
Reagan winning with “Reagan Democrats” = good.
Trump winning with “Trump Democrats” = bad.
But if we get a wall out of it, everything else is gravy.
Some of that gravy I think we'll get is equalized trade, VA fix and burning K Street to the ground.
We'll probably get a couple of good SC nominations out of it too.
We're not likely to enter any military conflict except those that present existential threat, and Muslims will know they are not welcome here.
Er, no. There is NO scenario in this universe where Cruz wins. He can’t take a state that started the freakin’ Civil War, so he sure won’t do well in SEC/northeastern/blue states.
At this time in 1980 Reagan trailed Carter in the polls by 30-40 points.
“I think what were going to see is the biggest landslide in modern American history for Trump.”
I love your optimism. 50/50 states would be unpressidented (Reagan should have had 50/50 in 1984).
Even if that were to happen, the Cruzbots would still bitch.
LOL - I’ll bet the GOPe is totally freaked about this...
The Cruzbots truly live in another dimension.
It’s undeniable that if either Rubio or Cruz were to drop out now, Trump would be toast. NBC just polled this: Both of them beat him by 16 points one-to-one.
But as with Romney, the conservatives are going to splinter each others’ votes and give us a Northeastern liberal.
Hank
Reagan winning with Reagan Democrats = good.
Trump winning with Trump Democrats = bad.
Yep...
Megyn & Karl will prolly call in sick tonight :)
