I spent the December holidays in Mexico almost every year in the 90s.
I do not look Mexican, and speak both Mexican Spanish and Castilian Spanish fluently.
I NEVER spoke Spanish while in Mexico.
The last few years I visited, overhearing conversations they thought I couldn't understand, scared me s******s, to the point that 1999 was the last time I was in Mexico.
My Y2K New years was ejoyed on a great Costa Rica Beach, Jaco.
I would NEVER trust a Mexican translator! In fact, I don't trust American translators either.
I hope eventually, if our incompetent MSM networks can handle it, I wish all Spanish news items with audio were required to use captioning for the audio, and retain the original Spanish.
ONE modified word, deliberately or due to incompetence can change the entire narrative!
Well this translator is part of Hillary’s team. I wouldn’t trust her either if I was Sanders.
I couldn’t care less who was insulted, who did the insulting, or the whys or wherefors....just so long as the 2 sides in the Dems fight end up DESPISING each other so much that a large number of them don’t show up to vote for the Dem in November. Honestly, a pox on both of their houses.
Thanks for the info. Translations for 50 years and over, I guess.
Chavez died in 1993, so don’t hold out hope that the truth will be told about him.
They make up stuff for the living so the dead are a blank canvas for the rewriters of history.
In order to vote you have to be a US citizen. In order to become a citizen you have to demonstrate a facility in the use of the English language so why are translators needed?

You beat me to it! ....Glad I decided to read the thread before posting that question. If they are legal voters, they are citizens and therefore must be able to communicate in English.
Bernie understands that while the USSR recognized the various languages and cultures, if one didn’t speak Russian, then one wasn’t quite as worthy.
Beyond hilarious.
