The US investigative journalist Robert Parry has made an astonishing claim - and one has gone completely unnoticed.
He is reporting that the Russian government has warned Erdogan that Russia is prepared to use tactical nuclear weapons to defend its Syrian strike force from Turkish attack.
Parry's exact words are as follows:
"A source close to Russian President Vladimir Putin told me that the Russians have warned Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that Moscow is prepared to use tactical nuclear weapons if necessary to save their troops in the face of a Turkish-Saudi onslaught.
Since Turkey is a member of NATO, any such conflict could quickly escalate into a full-scale nuclear confrontation."

The Russians could make AND ENFORE a no-fly zone over Syria immediately. We could not. If we tried, then we would likely need to shoot down Russian planes since they would likely ignore it. Oh my, that would be a shitfest!
Plus also the Russians have not forgotten the Turks who had overtaken the city that brought the Christian faith over to the Russians in the first place.
The Russians are not in this enterprise to lose.

Sending a special envoy to Turkey to slap Erdogan upside the haid might have been more eloquent.

Just a word of warning; Beware of Robert Parry. Some of his writings in the past have been slanted to the Far-Left and he is definitely not a friend of a strong American foreign and military policy.
If he got this right, good for him. If he was being used by the Russians, he might not care or know.

That’s the danger of messing with Russia, we know and they know their conventional forces are outclassed by NATO smart weapon technology.
I respect any CIC who will do whatever is necessary to protect his troops.
NATO should convene and vote Islam putrified Turkey out of NATO. Then see how bold the muzzie Erdogan is against Russia. The Saudi’s are itching to rid themselves of a few hundred thousand ‘troops’, so look for them to conscript a mass of their problem boys and send them into the fray for disposal.
