Several Republican presidential campaigns have labeled Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's campaign as dishonest -- and now a Cruz supporter says he agrees.
C. Steven Tucker, a member of Cruz's Illinois leadership team, told the Washington Examiner he could not stay silent about the falsehoods repeatedly uttered by the senator on the campaign trail. Specifically, Tucker takes issue with Cruz's comments about Donald Trump's ideas on healthcare.
"Senator Cruz's quotes are very salacious and incorrect. He says if you vote for Donald Trump, you vote for Bernie Sanders-style socialized medicine; Trump, Clinton, Sanders have identical positions on healthcare," Tucker said. "That is absolutely, 100 percent not true."
Politifact agrees with Tucker and rated Cruz's claim as "false."

We already do—it’s call Medicaid and there’s not a presidential candidate running who would end the program.
And yes, I would wean them off of Medicaid as well, but again—nobody else has that on the table.
So, if Trump had been President, Andrew Breitbart would still be alive?
Trump is using a liberal tactic, jousting at windmills, to aggregate more statist power.
Repeating this inaccuracy against Trump doesn’t seem to be persuading primary voters away from Trump.
By all means, please continue :)
“Senator Cruz’s quotes are very salacious and incorrect.”
“Salacious” means “appealing to the prurient interest”. He probably meant “mendacious”.
It has been a setup. The fix was always in. We, the Republic, have been loosing a war of financial attrition for decades. We, the Republic are engaged in a war with those who govern us. Drastic measures are required to defeat this enemy in order to stop the bleeding that each of us are seeing in the depreciation of our savings, the constant onslaught of taxes, fees, and licenses. Each of them designed to remove our ability to live free.
If a slave is a person who works for no money, then a paid person who works with no money left for savings or investment is therefore a slave.
The Communists are very good at planning each move, they have been at it for over sixty years, to bury us. They are so close to succeeding.
Trump has stepped in and has sensed our rage.We want to throw our shoes into the machinery. We want to turn over the apple carts and toss tea into the harbor. Trump is giving us a voice. He is giving our children and grandchildren a fighting chance of enjoying the life that our parents fought and spilled blood in Europe and Japan so as to impart liberty to ourselves.
No, we will no longer hide in the shadow of political correctness.
No, we will no longer stand idle in the face of the globalist Red Menace.
No, we will not play the game of choosing which Socialist will rob our children.
No, we will not play the game of choosing which Socialist will import an army of decapitating, lawless, savages into our home to eradicate Freedom and the American Way.
ANY and EVERY politician who will not build a wall is declaring he/she DOES NOT CARE IF YOU DIE!
I do not think Trump is a conservative.
I do not think Trump is morally pious and pure.
I do not think Trump is void of indiscretions or mistakes.
I do believe that any candidate that is a true conservative, morally pure, pious, and has walked the straight and narrow...would not stand a chance against the the globalist red menace that is systematically deconstructing our nation.
No, far from it.
Right now we need our own paladin of chaotic malice with a depraved sense of overly vengeful justice that will stand not for giving quarter. Right now we need our own Son of a Bitch glorious bastard, faults and all. We need to stomp out the treachery of political correctness that perpetuates racial discontent and has created Europe-istan, a Nuclear Iran, as well as ushering in a new world order of penniless servitude consisting of the entire earthly population bowing to but a few of the elite socialist megalomaniacs.
We need our own monster.
Ted Cruz may well be as advertised. No one knows. Four years ago, no one knew who he was.
He is young, deploy the Trump Bomb now, it is an ugly weapon of mass destruction that will result in some collateral damage, but it is required.
Alas, we have run out of time.
It will take many Ted Cruz clones to restore order in the aftermath.
One government payer system is one government payer system, no matter if you are Clinton, Obama, Saunders or Trump. Trump says t will prevent people from”dying in the streets”. They are, right now, still eligible to go to ay ER which cannot, by law, turn them away if they are critical.
Trump is allowed to be "confused" about his own position, but when others get confused about the confusion, they are said to be lying.
“the lower 25 percent that can’t afford private”
What’s Ted Cruz’s position on those who can’t afford health care?
This slime should be removed from the Cruz campaign.
Cruz did not lie about Trump and if this guy can’t support his candidate, he needs to go.
Donald Trump does not support the free market when it comes to healthcare. He just came out in support of the Obamacare mandate and said that universal coverage isn’t a a single payer system but “having a heart.” Get real.
That’s not what he said at all. You shouldn’t be so misinformed—or worse.
No, you are just parroting terms because you are caught up in Trump Mania to the point where you are unable to coherently address your candidate’s position on healthcare, which is really quite progressive. Free emergency care is required by federal law under EMTALA and as Donald Trump says we must have “heart.” Your candidate said healthcare is an entitlement from birth and pointing to previous government intervention into the healthcare industry doesn’t excuse his support for more just as it doesn’t justify more. The best solution for you is to stop pretending Donald Trump is anything but a progressive on healthcare.
Cruz is running a Nixonian campaign. The Rubio Bible bit today. The Carson dropping out lie.
Carson is sticking in past the SEC primaries just to cost Cruz 6-8% of the vote.
Cruz should have fired his ex CIA sleazy manager right then and there.
Yes he did. He responded to a question from a voter in SC who sold insurance and you can watch the video yourself. He supported Hillary in the Democrat Primary in 2008 and specifically supported her healthcare proposal. Its stunning he’s even a candidate for the Republican Party.
Ironic that you bring up Richard Nixon when we could point out Donald Trump has a very Nixonian position on healthcare. Its called a red herring and repetition doesn’t equal validity.
Tucker must be looking for a job. When the democrat wins the general election....TUCKER WILL BE LOOKING FOR A JOB!
“Several things wrong here. Who the hell complains about a politician lying? Thay ALL lie. “
The problem is Cruz supporters have no problem with their candidate lying, and use the excuse that everyone does it.
And this from the candidate claiming to be the most Christian, evangelical, clean candidate ever.
I’m sure this hypocrisy since Iowa is not lost on voters and is why he’s losing primaries.
