Several Republican presidential campaigns have labeled Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's campaign as dishonest -- and now a Cruz supporter says he agrees.
C. Steven Tucker, a member of Cruz's Illinois leadership team, told the Washington Examiner he could not stay silent about the falsehoods repeatedly uttered by the senator on the campaign trail. Specifically, Tucker takes issue with Cruz's comments about Donald Trump's ideas on healthcare.
"Senator Cruz's quotes are very salacious and incorrect. He says if you vote for Donald Trump, you vote for Bernie Sanders-style socialized medicine; Trump, Clinton, Sanders have identical positions on healthcare," Tucker said. "That is absolutely, 100 percent not true."
Politifact agrees with Tucker and rated Cruz's claim as "false."

In this day and age- with internet at most peoples fingertips- amazes me that politicians still think they can do a half truth or out right lie and not be called on it.
Gang of 8 Rubio will get this pass more often.
Ya, Trump never said this stuff:

What lie?

There’s a world of difference between Trump having previously praised it but also having promoted free market solutions—and unequivocally backing free market solutions in the campaign—and what Cruz and his sleazy campaign manager are claiming.
Wow
Tucker said rumors that he would quit Cruz and join the Trump train are false. Hmmmmm Ok, and who started those rumors?
Well of course Tucker is correct. For example, just this past Sunday Mr. Trump said he is for the mandate, but then on Monday said thats not what he meant. So if one says Mr. Trump is for the mandate . . . they are lying?
I am so confused.
Illinois.. A state with a bill to make Obama birthday a holiday? Trump is currently praising government funded healthcare... Of course he would be part of the exemptocrats. Yawn.
Not really. Most of those quotes are current.
Just more big government solutions. “the government’s gonna pay for it” - Trump 2015... That line is straight from the left. The “government” doesn’t pay for anything but the left thinks so.
A new flavor of big government isn’t going to fix anything.
The answer is getting the federal government out of health care. I fail to see where that was enumerated in the constitution as being within the bounds of the federal governments authority.
I didn’t flame you did I?
Tucker says "That is absolutely, 100 percent not true," that Trump, Clinton, Sanders have identical positions on healthcare," Yup . . . I see it now.
Trump, Clinton, Sanders have identical positions on 80 percent healthcare,
Several things wrong here. Who the hell complains about a politician lying? Thay ALL lie. Secondly, the bar has been lifted . . . if in part what you say is not correct its ALL a lie? Come on.
Then Mr. Trump had to come out and clarify things by saying when elected he will over throw Obamacare. . . . . EXCELLENT for you big guy. But why did you have to clarify it . . . Because you are not speaking clearly all the time. Thats ok . . . I never speak clearly but I do not go around calling everyone around me a liar either.
I dunno if photoshopping an image is a lie. Otherwise all ads are considered lies because they have actors
How is repealing Obama care and replacing it with Trump care a good thing? Like I said before. Just a new flavor of big government.
The federal government has no business or constitutional authority to dictate your health care arrangements at all.
Trump’s healthcare stand is 100% true. I’ve seen Trump say he wants single payer on video. I’ve listened to him say it’s a right for everyone to have healthcare. He doesn’t like people dying in the streets.(which we all know doesn’t happen)
That’s the exact same stance as Hillary and Bernie.
My focus and the theme of the thread is some yahoo Cruz delegate saying Cruz lies. And then the moron goes on to say "my candidate is a liar and am going to announce it and still vote for him.
My second point is that is much as he does and says good things, Mr Trump still has a communication problem regarding exactly where he stands on positions
Obamacare, Trumpcare Governmentcare a discussion for another thread!
sorry misread your post - I am batting 1000 this am. accusing fellow freeper of bad behavior - pls accept my apology
Well the claimed “lie” which is central to the issue is that Trump’s plan isn’t essentially Bernie’s.
Here’s Bernie’s:
https://berniesanders.com/issues/medicare-for-all/
The primary difference is Bernie tells you how the government is going to collect the money to do it - Trump just says “government’s gonna pay for it” and throws some words about the “free market” and that makes everything okay.
No apology needed!
