According to the Pope, Trump and others aren't Christians, no matter what they profess, if they're not cool with our borders' having bigger holes than Rosie O'Donnell's pantyhose after she tried to high step a four-strand barbed wire fence.
Yes, apostates, you must, according to his Highness, green-light porous borders and sanctuary cities, and blow off the rule of law, if you wish to be tight with his supposed best buddy, The Lord Jesus Christ.
Oh, and I almost forgot, you should also eschew capitalism if you desire to be in the good graces of God, according to the Catholic's glory boy's version of hippie Jesus. Which, by the way, is in stark contrast with the Gospel's version of Christ, who condemned lazy stewards and gave major props to the industrious.
You know... in a perfect world of pixie dust, unicorns, Hello Kitties, free North Slope trip weed and endless Cabernet-on-tap, I'd be down with the pontiff's pontifications of unfettered, free-flowing borders; but sadly, no such world exists this side of the sweet by-and-by.
Unfortunately, here and now, we have to contend with lawless, evil bastards that prey upon "good Christians' " squishy, un-biblical stupidity like the smack that the Pope's dealing.
And, by the way, he's dealing it on a regular basis behind a wall that makes the fence around Stallone's abode look like a low-hurdle in the Special Olympics. Didn't Jesus once tell a religious leader who was being a wee bit hypocritical something like... "Physician, heal thyself"?
Speaking of Vatican City's ginormous wall, I believe it was rebuilt at the behest of Pope Leo IV in the 9th Century in order to protect Christians from Muslim invaders. So, which Pope should we poor dupes obey? I'm going with Leo over Francis. What about you? Anyway...
In the spirit of Kum-ba-ya-ness, I challenge Mr. Pope to begin the immediate removal of his mondo wall around Vatican City and roll out the red carpet for the "poor Muslim refugees" from Syria. Either that, or cease preaching to us about how we should conduct our business.
Lastly, I bet there are many others like me who take umbrage with the Pope's acid test of being a Christian based upon being pro-open borders.
I'm pretty certain that the parents of Kate Steinle, a beautiful young woman who was murdered by an illegal alien, aren't too impressed with the Pope's point of view.
I'm also guessing that those who have been the victims of the 611,234 crimes committed in Texas alone from 2008-2014, including nearly 3000 homicides and thousands of sexual assaults, are also not too tickled with the Liberation Theologian's exhortations to build a bridge for more of this lawless, godless rabble to waltz on in, willy-nilly.
Rubio's support of the Gang of 8 should alone disqualify him. Even though he is white, he pulled the race card before the SC primacy and attacked our police as racist. A call for black votes who in general election will revert to Democrats? The list of potential scandals involving him is long.
True, dat. The New Jerusalem built to Gods specs has a wall. Nehemiah was commissioned by God to repair Jerusalems walls. Walls have a purpose. God approves of walls. That is my point. The hypocrisy of the present Pope on walls is well represented elsewhere.
Like I said in this or another thread, Pope Francis needs to study why Pope St Leo IV built the wall around Vatican City.
It is also a requirement of Catholics to obey the law, unless it is immoral, such as abortion, gay marriage, etc.
Illegal immigration would fall under this, so the illegals are breaking with the church, undoubtedly the Pope is aware of this. Once they are here, showing them mercy and charity is appropriate.
Just for information, while in Mexico, he also chastised the Mexican govt for their complicity in causing the problem, as well as drug cartels, rampant crime, and lack of jobs.
That said, the Pope obviously should hold his comments on economics, global warming, etc, that is not his area of expertise. The MSM is giddy when misquoting, or pulling a tiny part out of context.
This is his actual statement.
he Associated Press reports that Pope Francis said Donald Trump is “not Christian” if he wants to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexican border. Francis said: “A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian. This is not in the gospel. ... I say only that this man is not Christian if he has said things like that.”
The pope concluded his comments by saying, âWe must see if he said things in that way, and in this I give the benefit of the doubt
That is quite a bit different than what the headlines said, “Pope says Trump is not Christian”. Does that look like what he said when you read it all?
Agreed.
Rubio is ripe for being picked and is easily bought off.
Marco Rubio is BAD with money! His net worth is less than mine and I never earned a tenth of the $$ he has!

How does Cruz Inquisitors sound?
Sure. We all do. The point was that there are some places where it is not necessary to build a physical wall. We have the ability to protect our border and stop illegals from crossing. We simply don't do it right now. Border Patrol agents are jailed for stopping illegals, the number of agents are cut by the Feds, and the government is flying illegals in via airplanes. A wall won't stop that.
Funny toon!
Yes the wall will stop that. It doesn't require human intervention. It takes humans out of the equation. Man your slow.
Maybe. But I know that it is YOU'RE and not YOUR.
Yes the wall will stop that.
Did you miss seeing what I wrote, or what ?
A wall will not stop a jet airliner.
You aren't following ( or don't want to follow) the conversation. Either I'm not communicating well or you are a bit slow on the uptake.
Let's start over.
Yes, we can build a wall completely along the length of the border. That is impractical, and not needed. Sure, we need to build more and better walls, but not one continuous wall.
Even if we did, it won't stop the government from flying illegals in via airplane, as they do now.
You mean black helicopters?
bkmk
Yes, apostates, you must, according to his Highness, green-light porous borders and sanctuary cities, and blow off the rule of law, if you wish to be tight with his supposed best buddy, The Lord Jesus Christ.
Pope Francis, who lives in Vatican City, which has the most restrictive immigration and citizenship policies in the world, and accuses presidential candidate Donald Trump of "not being a Christian" for wanting to build a wall to protect the American people.First of all, the Pope is protected by a private army
Since 1990, the standard issue pistol of the Swiss guard has been the Sig P220The Sig 552 is standard issue with the Swiss Guards (for when swords alone will not do).
The HK MP7 (probably) rides shotgun with the dark (purple) suit wearing Swiss Guardsmen closest to the pope
and lives safely behind far bigger walls
than Trump plans to build.
I don’t believe that God has Francis (the talking mule) on speed dial.
There needs to be some sort of legitimate barrier, it needs to be heavily patrolled. We have to get the Border Patrol actually on the border, in many areas we have essentially ceded +- 50 miles of border area to the Cartels. The consequences for illegally crossing the border need to be very serious.
Employers of illegals need to be penalized as much as needed for them to stop employing them. Give-a-ways to illegals need to stop. Our immigration laws need to be strictly enforced at the borders and all over the country.
It all needs to be enacted as a package deal, not little bits here and there as it has been in the past.
This is an old thread but for some reason it popped up again for me.
Some folks just want to give them soccer balls and teddy bears
