Newt Gingrich has a message for the GOP in Washington: Start taking Donald Trump seriously.
Appearing on Fox News after Trump's Saturday win in South Carolina, the former speaker of the House argued that nobody in the Washington Republican political class should kid themselves about Trump's chances any longer.
It is a huge night for Donald Trump and nobody should kid themselves. Here's a guy who seven months ago for the first time entered electoral politics, has learned at an extraordinary rate, Gingrich said, pointing to his second-place finish in Iowa and victories in New Hampshire and South Carolina.
By any reasonable standard, this is a decisive victory

No doubt Trump has the ability to surround himself with an excellent staff. This is another area that will make him an excellent President. I do love Newt though. He is as sharp as a tack. I would not be surprised it Trump has him on his team in some capacity when President.
Hey! Maybe the R's can hold rifles over their heads and declare "If we're given the opportunity to lead the U.S. Senate next year, we won't let you down - unlike the last 20 years!"
I dunno, it's just me, but isn't 20 years of failing to "follow up" enough?

It really doesn’t matter what Trump ‘could have done’ with his inheritance. The fact is, he multiplied it many times over, and turned it into a multi-billion dollar business empire through hard work and smart decision making.
That is an extraordinary accomplishment, and shouldn’t be brushed aside so casually. It says a great deal about the man, which is why people cite it in the first place.

I hope he’s not either, but there’s no way to tell for sure.
Sure maybe CNN, WSJ, USA Today, Soros, Clinton, Europe and his conservative rivals are playing us by pretending to be against him, thus propelling him. 8 years of the Muslim has left us with little other choice I suppose.
They will tell you that he just "inherited" his money.
The GOP thinks if they wait long enough, they will run Trump out of the race.

The GOP is a soulless party devoid of any convictions. They need Trump a lot more than he needs them.
Of course it did.
The Republican candidate, backed by Newt, withdrew with 3 days left in the race and gave her endorsment and support to the Dem.
