Politics makes strange bedfellows, as the saying goes, but maybe itâs not so strange that the anti-war loony left group Code Pink praised Donald Trumpâs embrace of their âBush Lied, People Diedâ mantra in the South Carolina debate. Trumpâs comments that President George W. Bush deliberately sent Americans to their deaths based on a lie and knew 9/11 was coming and did nothing fits Code Pinkâs alternate universe. Trumpâs character assassination of the last Republican President should disqualify him from being the next one.

Not railing my friend. Just telling it like it is!
I keep seeing this “rancor” claim against Cruz supporters. But what I actually see and receive in the forums is “idiot cruzbot”, “rino”, “moron”, “anti-establishment hack” and many sarcastic religious references towards Cruz supporters.
Point me to some examples directed at Trump supporters, please? Ones where the Cruz supporter started the exchange and was not defensive due to the above examples would be nice.
Like Glenn Beck is a better endorsement.....hmmmm.
The Uniparty is all-out anti-Trump today. It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen. “Carnival Barker” describes the Uniparty-run Media to a “T.”
The WSJ/Frank Luntz/Marco Rubio/Fox News Channel cabal of corruption has been revealed. You will have to watch something other than FNC to hear of it. Today’s Media meme(besides trashing Trump)is the GOP caving to Obama’s SCOTUS nominee is all but certain.
As long as that piece of GOPe open-borders scum Marco Rubio is defeated, along with Jeb and the odious Kasich, I don’t care who wins between Trump and Cruz.
It’s the time honored tactic used by the left known as projection Tex.
Oh please. Your blinders are on. That’s ludicrous. I for one have never called any Cruz supporter any epithet that I can recall. If I have, please show me.
Ted & Heidi both worked for Bush.
Where was Ted when our kids were coming back from Iraq to flooded barracks in forts and hospitals that Bush couldn’t be bothered with?
April, 2008
[snip] Edward Frawley’s 10-minute video shows still photos from throughout the barracks, which include shots of mold and rust in several areas. The video is posted on the popular file-sharing site YouTube and Frawley’s business Web site.
Paint, which Frawley says is lead-based, is chipping off. Ceiling tiles are missing. A broken drain pipe allows sewer gas into the building, while another one has tissues stuffed into it in an apparent effort to stop the gas from coming in.
Photos from the communal bathroom show some of the most disturbing images. In one, a soldier stands in a sink to avoid what Frawley says is 3 inches of sewage that covered the floor when toilets overflowed.

Does anyone in here honestly think any of these Code Pinkers would vote for Trump over Hillary???
Really now......
Why didn’t Trump say anything when the leader of Code Pink came out for him? He takes to twitter when someone says his hair isn’t combed, why not for this? And what conservative would remain silent when Code Pink said nice things about them?
As to abject rancor I will tell you again, just as I have others, you haven’t seen rancor till you are on the receiving end from Trump guys. I was clearly told that I was a traitor to this country because I didn’t support Trump. So don’t try to say it is all one sided.
That said, I will say this again. If Trump is the nominee I will hold my nose and vote for him. But I can’t help what I believe. I think our republic is in danger if we do elect him.
That’s okay. We can disagree even if “telling it like it is” is an opinion and perception colored by preference.
Let’s just part ways, fella.
Ted Cruz worked on Bush’s campaign, nothing more.
For the record, I didn’t say you. I asked for an example of those you have seen. I have been in many threads here and have not seen them. Just asking for you to back you per assertion with examples.
We're back on optics. I don't know if Bush lied. To lie he'd have to have known his arguments for the war were false and made them anyway. It's entirely possible that Bush believed every word of it.
My argument is that with Iraq now an Islamist breeding ground Trump's opposition to the invasion at the time, as well as his continued criticism, only helps him.
Whether you like it or not W's war, the signature accomplishment of his administration, is unpopular and widely seen as a failure. No matter how much pro-war propaganda the neoconservative think tanks generate they've had no more luck convincing the public to support the war (and future wars they'd like to launch) than Jeb has had gaining votes.
The crux of Trump's distancing himself from Bush and the Iraq invasion is that it cuts him loose from the anchor that's been dragging the GOP down for a decade. Never mind Code Pink, outside the far right and far left no one even remembers them. Trump is riding the wave of popular opinion and it will help him beat the GOP establishment that never met a war or an amnesty that it didn't like.
I have never called Cruz supporter an epithet, nor a traitor. Because you are pissed off by some zealot about what he called you, you are willing to throw all sense of what’s going on here out the window? If you can’t see that, I don’t know what to tell you.
We’re gonna see Super Tuesday who the probably nominee will be. Come to Jesus day. I hope we’re all ready here for the consequences and mend fences. I can. Can you? Doesn’t sound like it now.
I for one do not dismiss because he has the traits of a pt Barnum like carnival barker I only describe them as such. He is in my opinion a fairly moderate to conservative Democrat I wish you would have run as one.
I understand your quandary and upset, really. But it isn’t up to me to assuage it. You have made up your mind and I have made up mine. I’m willing to see the results from today and on Super Tuesday and work from there in some kind of new detente against Jeb, Rubio, Hillary, Sanders by going with the likely winner. Many here are not.
I just went and re-watched the whole thing (I had only seen smaller clips previously). As you said, it was masterful.
You made a bold faced assertion that you cannot back up and got called on it.
It’s as simple as that.
No, but the fact that out of the whole republican field they (and Carter) prefer Trump, says a lot.
Please tell me what the “bold faced assertion was.”
