I really don’t share the visceral hatred of Bush so common on this forum. That said he is not my cup of tea and it is pretty clear that the end is nigh. Too many pols don’t know when or how to make a graceful exit.
It’s time Gov Bush. After the polls close, call a press conference, thank your supporters and suspend your campaign. Then go home and spend some time with your family and relax a little. Let the others carry on the fight.

Somehow Elrusbio thought that was endearing and has used strategery often when it was just another show of a Bush genetic trait of blundering statements.
It would take a miracle for Jeb to come in second.
If he can’t beat Rubio, its over.
This is bad news for those that want to keep the GOPe from installing their chosen candidate.
If Bush drops out before Florida... I would expect most of his support to go to Rubio... would might be enough to rocket Rubio to the lead.
A lot depends on how strong Rubio finishes in SC. If Rubio is anywhere near the top, expect wall to wall Rubio comeback coverage.
I feel a little sad for him. It’s never a good thing for any man to be reduced to dragging himself to his next humiliation. But we need a fighter who will willingly get as dirty as needed to win. Yeb was given a chance to do that with Mrs Shiavo and he did the “well I tried” dance.
I remember the mewling triumphalism of Bush 1 as he began dismantling the Reagan revolution, bleating about a ‘kinder, gentler’ American and working together with the Democrats.
I am so happy he has lived long enough to see his life’s work unraveling.
