Ahh the halcyon days of the Event Miniseries. You had to watch these things, if you weren’t you were a bad person (or if you were in my generation your parents were bad people). Truth be told though most of them sucked.

Many sucked.

However, the “Lonesome Dove” miniseries is still the best thing I’ve ever seen on television. Nothing else is even close.

Ahh the halcyon days of the Event Miniseries.

I recall when one of the networks aired their Winds of War miniseries, Steve Martin, on another network, had The Winds of Whoopee.
