CBS News poll: Trump maintains commanding lead [2/12-2/16 Trump 35%, Cruz 18%, Rubio 12%]
CBS ^ | 02/18/2016 | Anthony Salvanto

....Forty-six percent of Republican primary voters say they have now made up their minds about whom to vote for, up from 35 percent last month. But Trump's supporters are surer about their choice: Two-thirds of Trump voters now say they have made up their minds. Among those supporting other candidates, the race is more fluid; two-thirds of them may still change their minds.

Trump's support cuts across nearly every demographic group in the Republican electorate. He holds a double digit lead among Republicans and independents, men and women, white evangelicals, and Americans of all income levels. He leads among Republican voters of all age and education levels, but does particularly well among voters without college degrees.

Trump also holds a double digit lead among moderates and those who describe themselves as somewhat conservative, and has a five point lead over Ted Cruz among very conservative Republican voters.

what was it Charlton Heston said again? From my cold dead hands.

Then enjoy your vote for Bernie and make sure you are well-armed if he wins.

I don’t know what the infants expect to happen when they tell us they’ll vote Democrat if Trump wins the nomination.

Do they expect everyone will switch their votes to Cruz?

Thanks for the comparison chart. That shows just how much of an outlier the NBC poll is.

The Cruzers will keep posting it for weeks, maybe months, though ;)

“The poll was conducted February. 12 through 16, so half of it was before Trumps horrible debate meltdown.”

Like all the other ‘horrible meltdowns’ that were going to end his campaign?

Dream on.

Trump EARNED a 2400% increase over what his dad loaned him.

And didn’t do it for the money, but for the challenge.

We retired this year, at 50. I know that the democrats will steal my savings and any future my children may have had. If you really want to redistribute what you have, vote for them. It will be too late by the time you figure out it was a mistake.

Sounds contradictory. Bernie will take our guns away.

If you retired this year then take it a step further and move to Texas and really enjoy life.

Today is my birthday and so is tomorrow and the next day as is everyday.

I thank the father for all the blessings via very hard work as a young one.

“It will be the very first time I vote Democrat. Yep, the lesser of 2 liberals.”

Get it out of your system while you can, paid-Troll, because after Trump wins the nomination, those who support Democrats will no longer be welcome here.

“Ever notice how Cruz swaggers about taking on the Washington establishment?

When it came time to take on the Washington establishment over TPA, he worked with Paul Ryan to get it rolling, to get it on the floor for a vote, and then voted for it the first time. When his vote was no longer needed, he was allowed to vote against it.

When it came time to take on the Washington establishment over the Corker bill, he voted for it.

Ditto immigration (Cruz’s campaign manager says Cruz wants to expand immigration as of the December debate), H1-B visas, etc.”

I re-posted this so those who are “hard of thinking” might actually read it : )

Nah, we moved to Tennessee. The people are just as feisty with cute accents too, but it’s not invaded. I was born in Texas and lived there again for a year and a half in my 40’s. It’s almost as bad as Mexifornia. IF you could expel your invaders, I might think about it ;) But I don’t like the heat either. We have heat, but it’s not relentless and varies throughout the summer. And I have to have mountains. They are God’s gift, IMO. Notice how Jesus always went to the mountains to pray? I have that same feeling when I see the beauty He created for us.

We escaped and moved back to the US and LOVE hearing English spoken, seeing nothing but US flags - and rebel flags ;)

Same here, I am glad we lived while we were able to earn a lot and keep some of it. Our children won’t have the same opportunities, sadly.

“real Conservatives” are my heroes too! They’ve done so many wonderful things for our country!

Why, many of us still remember how the “real conservatives” in Congress stood up to Obama and stopped his agenda dead in its tracks by passing a budget that eviscerated his illegal immigration policies, eliminated the energy-destroying EPA, eliminated the Marxist propaganda Education Department, eliminated the job-destroying Labor Department, eliminated the racist Civil Rights Commission, defunded the FCC until they give back control of the Internet to private industry, defunded Obamacare, defunded enforcement of 99% of Obama”s regulations and Executive Orders. It was a great day for America when that happened, when the “real conservatives” stopped Obama’s agenda cold.

Given all of these amazing accomplishments by the “real conservatives”, it’s no wonder that the only thing that good FReepers and rank-and-file Republicans everywhere care about is getting some more of them elected so that they can continue applying their “real conservative” principles to such good effect.

True.

We’ve sadly lost all of ours in a boating accident. Those are rampant among Freepers, for some reason. We’re just poor sailers, I guess!
