Last week nasty anti-Trump robocalls started running in South Carolina. Donald Trump accused the Cruz camp of being behind the calls.
Of course, Senator Cruz denied having anything to do with the ads.
But it was a lie.
And now there is proof that a Cruz PAC is behind the nasty anti-Trump and anti-Rubio robocalls.
The Washington Post reported:
Natalie Barrett, a 53-year-old schoolteacher from Westminster, got a robo-call earlier this month and ended up furious.
It started off simple enough, an automated man’s voice asking her age and gender, then quizzing her on which Republican candidates she liked. But when she selected Sen. Marco Rubio as one of her choices, she said, things got nasty.
“That’s when he said, ‘Did you know that Marco Rubio and the Gang of Eight are for amnesty?’” she recalled in a phone interview. “And then the gentleman said he’s for letting 11 million illegal immigrants stay in the U.S. and that he was for letting Syrians cross the borders freely.”
Barrett said she found the call — which continued to say negative things about Rubio before taking shots at Donald Trump for being a supporter of eminent domain — to be “negative” and “unfair,” but she couldn’t figure out right away who it was from. The voice said the poll was conducted by some place called Remington Research.
She told her Rubio-supporting friend about the call; her friend told the campaign. They said they knew exactly what Remington Research was: a consulting firm started by Sen. Ted Cruz’s campaign manager, Jeff Roe.
“These tactics are becoming all too common in this race and indicative of our opponents’ campaigns that are willing to say or do anything to win an election,”

The Cruz campaign already paid back that loan.
With donated money.
Nice way to win favor with a sitting Senator, pay off $ 1mil in loans via campaign donations.
It’ll probably be Trump, if we don’t see a sudden change in either one.
And Trump will be a sight to see. Maybe he won’t mandate nationwide Brawndo consumption, as in Idiocracy, but he will do some real good stuff and some real bad stuff.
Well that isn’t a GS problem any more, at least.
How to fix such calls?
Go cell phone only.
If you don’t know who’s calling, don’t answer the phone. The number will show up on your screen.
If they think it’s important, they will leave a number. You can then add their name to their number on your contacts list, and eventually just about every call will have a name of a friend or acquaintance pop up with the call.
Don’t answer otherwise.
That will put an end to Cruz Crud. It’s like jock rot. You just need the right spray.
Can’t argue with that.
But we already know that HillaBern will do nothing but really bad stuff.
Besides, we all need “electrolytes”
Yeah, random pain is probably better than constant pain.

It’s the RCP average, not one poll. I didn’t look but the RCP average for SC probley has Trump in the lead, but that must be fake cause its them polls. You really just keep exposing yourself to ridicule
Nothing screams constitutional conservative like Goldman Sachs and Citibank.
i’ve said a hundred times i hear a trump statement in the afternoon and love him, then hear about a lawsuit or twitter rant and hate him :) at least 50 times!!
though I am glad Cruz is a “willing to do anything to win” candidate, i put him on a pedestal and was a little disappointed by some actions.
but these are just men, like us. Not gods. There’s only one, and brother, if we keep slaughtering babies and letting 7 year old boys be girls, and marry 2 men, ain’t no president going to be able to protect us from God.
I’m far from a zealot, but if he is real, and I think he is. He’s mad.
They are using the same robocalls here in Nevada. Rubio is part of the Gang of 8, supports amnesty, etc., Trump will not return land to Nevada because he doesn’t trust Nevada.
Well, we need to watch out for the idols, the things that are less than God that still monopolize our devotion.
I think it’s safe to say that neither Cruz nor Trump will prove to be a plausible idol. And a lot of other idols will tumble too.
This will be a good sign. Idols falling make room for God.
Oh boy, here we go again.
Trump is “self funding” in the primary, but he will get the money back.
he has also said he will run on donations in the General.
He is “loaning” money to he campaign.
he will have fundraisers and events to pay the loan back later, when it is all said and done.
If he loses, no one will care who he gets the money from.
If he wins, just keep your eyes open as to where it comes from.
I disagree.
But opinions vary. ;-)
Anyhow, Caesar’s legislation can’t ever put God back on the thrones of people’s hearts. We were foolish to pretend it could. Many, many individual devotions will be needed. And then the shenanigans with sex, etc. will be mitigated because people will honestly start seeing a better way to go.

I have never been robo called and don’t know how effective they are, but I don’t see anything false in this report. Rubio and Trump need to defend their records, not whine about Cruz informing voters.
Well, I have the kind of dogged mind that persists in thinking through all the theological angles of what is going on.
Yup, God is angry, good and mad. But He also has a plan. He doesn’t just rage and work random destruction. He targets specific things to be destroyed (the bible calls it wrath) which stand in His way. The choices are up to us. Should we keep on getting in His way or should we begin trying to cooperate?
