Donald Trump had good reason to suspect he was ambushed by the Republican National Committee during Saturday's debate in South Carolina: That was exactly what happened.
Chad Groover, the chairman of the local Republican Party in Greenville, essentially confirmed the billionaire's worst fears over the weekend.
"I didn't have hundreds of tickets. I had a couple of dozen tickets. You'll have a good mix of people who are donors, people who are donors and workers, and people who are just workers," Groover said, WYFF 4 reported Saturday.
RNC Chief Strategist and Communications Director Sean Spicer gave Breitbart News a precise breakdown of ticket allocation on Monday.
Republican candidates had to split up 600 seats among themselves, while the RNC and nationally elected officials received 367 tickets. State party and locally elected officials received 550 tickets. Google was given 100 tickets.
Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday he had never witnessed such an orchestrated attack on a Republican candidate.
"[Trump] didn't even have to say anything. He just opened his mouth, a couple of syllables and here came the boos. And it did appear to distract him off the point that he was getting ready to make," said Limbaugh. "I've never seen anything like that, that I can recall watching intraparty debates. I've never seen it on the Democrat side. I mean, I've heard a smattering of boos, but I've not seen a whole audience stacked for the expressed purpose. And it was done specifically to make it look like no Republicans in South Carolina like Trump. They didn't tell you the audience was a bunch of donors. They didn't tell you the audience was a bunch of people that support amnesty."

These aren’t debates, they resemble the studio audience and host at a Jerry Springer show.
It’s perfectly permissible to evict noisy observers in the audience, it’s what the Party and networks want at this point. ‘Reality’ tv.
We knew ahead of the debate.
Thankfully, Mr. Trump also knew.
Mark Levin called for the firing or resignation of Reince Preibus last night on his show, while discussing this. Of course, Levin’s just a clown who know less about conservatism than Trump according to Trump supporters.
RNC gave 100 tickets to Google? Now there’s a solid conservative group.
Rooster, can you check to see if I’m on your list? I may not be. Thanks.
Can you tell us what Mark said?
You aren’t Miss M, but I would be most pleased to put you on it.
Levin has been calling for the firing of Priebus for a number of years. I guess hot air has little effect.
Now if Trump wins the Presidency, you can pretty much count on Priebus getting tossed out on his ass. If Rubio/Bush wins, Priebus stays. Cruz? Cruz has no chance whatsoever to win the Presidency.
Didn’t ii/they realize this would come out and further hurt the “party” image not Trumps iimage?
Not verbatim but basically that the RNC chair likes to drive the bus over outsider candidates and has a history of picking the worst moderators. His show archives can be heard on podcast at his website. Couldn’t find a transcript yet.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: We are headed for a four way general election. It’ll be the first since 1912 when Wilson, TR, Taft and Debs ran. Interestingly, it was a Democrat, Progressive, Republican and Socialist candidate.
Rush is right...again
So we will have 4 Marxists?
Pray America wakes
The ambush continues with yet another Fox debate recently added with Mayhem Kelly.
Their hope is she will be able to finish him off, then they start on destroying Ted Cruz.
There were reports that the boos were in fact pretecorded boos.
As a long time listener of Mark I still am waiting for his evaluation of the birther issue.
I seem to recall that at debates the last election, no clapping or noise was allowed by the audience. Remember MOOchelle clapped at the town hall debate and it was a big no no. I don’t like Trump, but I think I dislike the RNC and the GOP insiders more.
