Rush Limbaugh: Let’s face it, Trump sounded like a liberal Dem in some things he said at debate

Here we are in a Republican primary, and Donald Trump, out of the blue, starts blaming the Bush family for 9/11, for knowing that the intelligence was made up, that there never were any weapons of mass destruction, and they knew it, Trump said.

Michael Moore doesn’t even say that…

On the stage at a Republican debate, Donald Trump defended Planned Parenthood. Not the abortion stuff, he said, but the fact that they do great things for women’s health. Folks, there were a number of occasions where Donald Trump sounded like the Daily Kos blog, where Donald Trump sounded like the Democrat Underground, sounded like any average host on MSNBC.

Sorry but no. Just because Bush failed to defend himself, does not make tRump’s Code Pinko statements okay. I would know more vote for tRump than I would for Cindy Sheehan. Both of them are self centered, evil people, who don’t care who they harm. Just as long as they win.

Rush sounded like a big RINO when he was championing Rubio last week. Let’s see who Rush had at his wedding - well, by golly, there was Elton John - paid him $1 million dollars to entertain, and then there was James Carville - a big lib. Kettle meet pot. Rush is not relevant any more.

Trump don’t even know what Trump is up to. he is like a crazy man. I expect him next to show up with a tin foil hat and a voodoo doll.

Ehy eoulf Rush hire Elton John, when there are many good entertainers here in the U.S. he could have hired?

Rush explained soon after the wedding that his bride wanted to be sung to by Elton John. So Rush inquired how much it would cost, found it was something he could afford and made it happen. He was somewhat surprised Elton John agreed and allegedly Elton John caught more hell from leftards about singing at Rush's wedding than Rush got.

Elton saw it as a business opportunity. Rush saw it as a chance to do something extra special for his new wife.

In the second hour he went into a more complicated analysis of what Donald Trump was doing. The bottom line is even Rush has no idea what Donald Trump is up to! He! He! This is much more fun than humans are allowed to have! ;-)

And what part of it is not true?

Rush talks about all of the candidates. Some take it as support, others take the same comment as critisism. In the next segment, he talks about someone else and ticks off a different group.

People hear what they want to hear.

In your case...read what you want to read.

You are right laz, he is as populist.

As a populist he is going to see who did the bleeding and dying in Iraq and for what? To come home to a country that won’t care for their wounds (the va) and has shipped their jobs overseas or given them to illegals.

The whole thing was a scam and folks were suckered in by their love of country and their patriotism. Global elites made money off of it but what did the common man get? Nothing.

If bush really cared as much as he pretended he would have made damn sure the va was in tip top shape when he left office. He didn’t.

Talk is cheap and that is all the Republican Party has given us for 20 years. They can go to hell.

Great work there, voting. I should consider doing such myself. Oh wait, that's right, me too. I vote.

As you inquired first regarding ‘works’ or whatever, I felt it reasonable that you should submit to your own query. Well, as your interrogative was not exactly some passive question but rather an implied assault on that other FReeper.

Personally, I cannot say that Trump is the most liberal Republican candidate ever. He might be. Heck, I ain't no candidate but I voted for McGovern, and he won, here in Mass., anyhow.

I voted for Carter as well. Twice in fact I made that poor judgment. Mea Culpa.

Truth is, this ain't 35 or 40 years ago anymore.

I was young, ignorant, and a political moron.

Things changed and so did I. Actually though, I stayed still and the world moved way left. I am largely the same, though a bit less ignorant. These days, I think that Trump is a terrific candidate despite his old baggage.

People change.

Why do you guys always leave out the multiple times he said “they say” before and after that quote?

This out of context crap is part of what is driving this site down. And BOTH sides are doing it.

Rush has been the establishments gatekeeper since the mid 90s. establishes the boundaries of what is acceptable discussion. If one veers into unacceptable areas then they are anathema. His 10 point kook test is evidence. It was a well known rumor he wash ushered into the establishment in the 90s when he became a dominant force.

Actually, those were not Trumps words I quoted. I was quoting George W Bush on an ABC interview where he himself claimed going into Iraq was his biggest regret.

Forget about how Donald Trump may react, How do these words of George W Bush make the families of all those dead Americans feel when they see George W Bush saying this?

Secondly, George W Bush was NO conservative. Not even close. Next to Donald Trump he may appear to be conservative but that does not mean he's a conservative.

Bush did not simply fail to defend himself as you stated, he also failed to justify the great work our lost heroes had done fighting for this nation. It's NOT all about him.

I’m with you! The Wall, Immigration and his anti PC positions had me there for a while. When all is said and done and Donald returns to his business I’ll forever thank him for not waltzing around the sh*t pile and helping to turn this country around. And when the Wall is built may it henceforth be forever known throughout the world “The Trump Wall”. You heard it here first!

I guess there is nothing that Jim can do if morons posing as conservative sign up here. I’ve been here since 2000, and to see so many people here side with liberals is beyond the pale. If you read the comments from the Trump-suckers and overlay it with any liberal critizing the Iraq war or Rush Limbaugh, you would not know the difference.

As a Cruz supporter, I was not Anti-Trump until now. Now I can’t wait to hammer the most aggressive Trump-Sucker. Point me to him/her/it. It’s go-time.

>>I’m for constitutional government, performing the role the constitution specifically outlines for the federal government. Trump on the other hand is a big taxing big government statist.<<

You think you are for the Constitution, yet you would trash the borders that are essential to its preservation. BTW, Trump is your BEST BET FOR LOWER TAXES, BY FAR. If he wins he will absolutely have a gigantic electoral mandate, including states like NY, PA, NJ, MI . . . maybe even CA.

Technically, I guess it is true that a tariff is a tax; but, there is a BIG DIFFERENCE: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BUY THAT IMPORTED CAR, ELECTRONICS etc., if you do not like it that their price went up due to a tariff. The IRS, on the other hand, will put you in prison if you do not comply.

I do not know if you are a libertarian . . . just guessing, really. But I wonder if you might stop for a moment and give some consideration to the differences between an OPTIONAL purchase of a tariff-affected Apple iPad, versus personal income taxes. Also, I remind you that Trump wants to drastically cut corporate income taxes for companies, so MAYBE AN iPAD MADE IN AMERICA will come back into the price range of those currently made in China. And . . . that America company will pay American workers who will also take on a share of the tax burden, unlike Chinese workers.
