I wish the argument would be along the lines of the early withdrawal by 0bama for political points. That, imo, should be the starting point for united Republican candidates to concentrate on. But now we’re re-litigating the Bush administration instead of focusing on 0bama’s disaster.

I wish you had seen Trump’s presser today, he talked about that being a big blunder on Obama.

I am all for holding Obama accountable for his decisions. But I also believe in honesty and consistency, not double standards. That means holding Bush accountable for his bad decisions too

Invading Iraq - with the aim of toppling the dictator who checkmated Iran and kept home-grown jihadis under his boot - was a terrible decision.

Two wrongs do not make a right.

1) Bush was wrong to start Iraq War, which mostly served to empower Iran and ignite ISIS.
2) Obama was wrong to pull out without keeping bases for future needs, keeping oil.

Of these two, the latter was more unforgivable, because it was truly stupid. Bush made a mistake, but I truly believe he thought the region was redeemable by democracy, given a chance. NOW WE KNOW better the true nature of Islamic Civilization.

And Dick Cheney on Bret Baier just underscored my earlier comment. Iraq was improving until 0bama pulled out. Whether Trump is saying that now is fine..but you can’t take back the words from Saturday night once they leave his mouth.

Honestly, I think if it gets too tough on him, he will drop out. He said other things Saturday night that gave me pause. For example, he is self-funded and that is not lost on me...but he stated it during the debate as if he was a bit indredulous that people didn’t appreciate that...or at least it seemed that way to me. As long as he’s winning in polls, he’ll go on..but if he starts slipping, new ball game. Flame away

I agree. And it wasn't just WMD with Saddam. There was evidence that there were training facilities for terrorists in Iraq. And there is a lot to be said for neutralizing a loose cannon like Saddam in a post 9-11 world.

Also, Trump blamed W for 9-11. I can't believe so many Freepers are letting him slide on that.
