‘Millions’ of Republicans Say Iraq War was a ‘Disaster’: Laura Ingraham Supports Trump
Impulse today ^ | Feb.15, 2016 | Derek Flynn

Laura Ingraham, who is a conservative radio host, gave a warning to the GOP presidential candidates that they should stop defending the actions of President George W. Bush because "millions and millions" of Republican voters believe the Iraq War that he got the United States into was a mistake.

During the CBS hosted GOP Republican presidential debate last Saturday night, GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump accused George W. Bush of lying about Iraq having weapons of mass destruction.

"Obviously, the war in Iraq was a big, fat mistake, all right?" Trump said. "They lied. They said there were weapons of mass destruction. There were none, and they knew there were none."

These comments by Trump come just two days before George W. Bush goes out to campaign for his younger brother, Jeb Bush, in South Carolina.

The hosts of Fox News were told by Ingraham that Trump's criticism of Bush was risky, but also a very calculated strategy.

"He's thinking that there are millions and millions of Republican voters who have had the luxury of time to look back on whether the war in Iraq was really a good idea," Ingraham explained. "And all the money we spent, and all the men and women we lost. And I think a lot of Republicans -- the establishment doesn't like to hear this -- millions and millions of Americans probably agree with Trump."

"This was a disaster for the United States," Ingraham added. "We've lost influence in the Middle East; we've toppled dictators who probably had their finger on the dice of what was going to be a flood of tumult. And he's betting that people aren't going to just reject the Republican Party of today, they're going to reject the Republican Party of the Bushes.'"

"If they think they are going to re-litigate the Iraq war throughout the United States in this primary process and that's going to end well for them, I don't think it is."

Trump isn’t a conservative. Nothing about his past say that. And this recent outrage about the war is dumb.
We had both wars won. then Obama came along and things turned to crap. Why doesn’t Trump blame Obama for the increases in KIAs?
there were WMDs in Iraq. Just not the right kind? What sort of stupid is that?

Pakistan has WMDs, the right kind, and they are a worse enemy than Iraq ever was.

What do you want to do about that?

Thins sentence makes more sense if it read " had their finger in the dike of what was going to be a flood of tumult"

Here's Trump giving his support to the traitor-in-chief on his worldwide apology tour.

I got news for you.

I literally know a hundred people who felt the SAME WAY about Obunga when he first arrived.

Nearly all of them are currently saying "Trump" offers us the best leadership opportunities for America. Gee.. imagine that. They changed their mind after 7 years of the Obumbler.

Sometimes people actually BELIEVE that they're getting steak when they're actually being served up tofu.

1. George Bush took a baseball bat to the hornets nest of the Middle East. Set off total chaos. Freepers blame Obama for pulling out. But that admits that Bush created chaos, and we needed to stay forever to keep a lid on it. Sorry, our American young people are too valuable for that fools mission

2. Bush was president when Saudi terrorists were able to bring down the Twin Towers. That’s a simple fact

“We had both wars won”

Then why was it wrong to leave Iraq? If we needed to stay there in order to keep a lid on the chaos, then we didn’t have the war won

Saddam kept the jihadis down, brutally. George Bush the Stupid eliminated him, and all hell broke loose

He absolutely did throw a rock at a hornets nest. IMHO he did it to announce that a Bush was back in charge. Early in his first year:

George W. Bush - 02/16/2001 United States airplanes attack Iraqi radar sites to enforce a "no-fly zone." Bush calls the military action a "routine mission." February 16, 2001

We'll never know if this triggered 9/11.

You are naive. Every time I hear the "Trump isn't a Conservative" crap, I just roll my eyes and giggle.

This election isn't going to be about some academic debate about free markets or Constitutional philosophy or some such nonsense.

If we don't get that damn border secure and fix the problem with tens of millions of illegals already here.......then it's all over. Heady debates about tax policy and abortion and foreign trade will be a thing of the past.

We'll be a permanent south American style craphole.

Everything you just said is an example of why conservatives lose.

A politician (usually liberals) will make a provocative statement, and gullible conservatives twist themselves into pretzels trying to analyze it.

By the time they have formulated a logical presentation as a rebuttal, the politician has already moved on to the next subject.

Conservatives are like the nerdy kid chasing after the school bus. "Wait for me....Wait for me!!!!"

That's why Trump is so successful in this campaign and has a lot of "conservatives" so upset.

He's using liberal tactics. I wish our side would have started using these tactics YEARS ago.

Ousting Saddam was a terrible mistake. Yes, he was a tyrant but at least he was secular and Christian communities were tolerated.

Now ISIS controls much of Iraq and the Christians are almost completely gone. What a waste.

Yes, I know Obama has a large share of the blame but the US had no right to invade Iraq. Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia were, and still are, more dangerous.

Brilliant. Actually called the volume page and paragraph Gore vs Bush would be settled and which justice would be pro and con.

Been trying to remember something about the law he quoted. Am thinking it was something to do with international ruling made after WWII having to do with invading a sovereign nation with out cause.

Well, I think Trump is using smash-mouth New York politics, which is a rough and tumble game. So Trump “whines” about Cruz lying...what he is doing is throwing out there that Cruz is LYING in the back of all the undecided minds. Trump throws out a toss away statement that the RNC reneged on the pact and everyone is talking about Trump as third party candidate. He talks about GWB on Saturday knowing Yeb! is bringing him in...Trump has a national news conference live on the networks for nearly and hour completely obliterating the Yeb! rally with his brother. CNN carried Yeb! rally live and people actually got a chance to find out why is is so far down in the polls. Did you hear any of the crap...Yeb! is lucky to get a job as a small town mayor. HOw in the heck was he ever elected Gov. of Fla?

yes, we all heard that Trump will build a wall. And it will be beautiful. And Mexico will pay for the wall. Blah blah blah.
Trump isn’t a conservative but he plays one on TV. Amazing how many people here fall for his gas.
Trump is a best self promoter since Obama. Everything is about Trump. But yet he cant really offer real plans other than those on his website that was written by someone else. how can one tell he site was ghost written? that site was too coherent for a person that gets all pissy and vulgar.
Maybe if Cruz insulted people and used dirty words you all would change your tune.
