When Hillary Clinton Killed Feminism (Maureen Dowd in NYT)
The New York Times ^ | FEB. 13, 2016 | Maureen Dowd

WASHINGTON — THE Clinton campaign is shellshocked over the wholesale rejection of Hillary by young women, younger versions of herself who do not relate to her.

Hillary’s coronation was predicated on a conviction that has just gone up in smoke. The Clintons felt that Barack Obama had presumptuously snatched what was rightfully hers in 2008, gliding past her with his pretty words to make history before she could.

So this time, the Clintons assumed, the women who had deserted Hillary for Barack, in Congress and in the country, owed her. Democrats would want to knock down that second barrier.

We the public created this monster in Hillary, and we the public have an opportunity to eliminate this monster once and for all this year. To eliminate her forever as a candidate by eliminating her in the primaries. God knows she would be a tremendous disaster for the US

Instead of just admitting that he had had an affair with Monica Lewinsky and taking his lumps, Bill lied and hid behind the skirts of his wife and female cabinet members, who had to go out before the cameras and vouch for his veracity, even when it was apparent he was lying.

Seeing Albright, the first female secretary of state, give cover to President Clinton was a low point in women’s rights. As was the New York Times op-ed by Steinem, arguing that Lewinsky’s will was not violated, so no feminist principles were violated.

Dowd knows Hillary and Albright violated feminism... Young women resent the rape... they will not turn to Hillary.

For a short detour into the minds of our enemies try — at least if you haven’t eaten recently — reading the comments to Dowd’s column. If you — and by that I mean the people on this board — do so with the goal of making sure you haven’t missed an intelligent argument on the other side of the political divide, you’ll come away feeling pretty good about our team.

What a bunch of pathetic people are the Clinton loyalists.

Hillary knows she has most of the delegates looks like it’s in the bag for her and the rest of the debate game is just for show.

That's what we were telling ourselves eight years ago as Obama started winning early primaries. The super-delegates were going to prevail for Shrillary.

But then Obama kept winning primaries and eventually, even the super-delegates abandoned her.

I think the chances are still better for the Hildebeast this time around but Bernie's absolute blow-out victory in NH has to give one pause. I don't think Bernie can win SC but if he makes it closer, like within 10 points, I think he's very much still in this thing for the long haul.

Unlike the Republicans trying to overtake Trump, Bernie gets an extra week in SC and he's coming off a Trump-sized rally in Colorado.

Don't count the nutty socialist out yet.

Another lame, seen-it-before ‘betrayal’ flameout by Moron Dowdy and some FReepers think it’s the second coming of Bill Buckloley...

I don’t the young and dumb has a God now if something doesn’t wake them up to reality he may win but I think the snake (Hillary) has many more tricks up her dirty sleeve.
