Not that old in this day and time if he was otherwise healthy.

Guess we’ll find out.

Lots of luck.

The widow of Vince Parker wanted to know too but then decided she didn’t want to know.

Many things are possible, even things that would not be acceptable to believe. But most likely we will not know with certainty until we reach the other side and all things are revealed.

Not exactly easy but routine and do-able. My husband had it twice and got stents both times.

I knew that was an error. Don’t worry.

My parents lived so much longer than that, I can’t think of 79 as old. My father was 90, my mother 86.

Yeah, and some people just fall on their knives 4 or 5 times.

...we defy augury: there's a special providence in the fall of a sparrow. If it be now, 'tis not to come; if it be not to come, it will be now; if it be not now, yet it will come: the readiness is all: since no man has aught of what he leaves, what is't to leave betimes? --Hamlet

I think an autopsy is in order.

Sometimes people die - especially 79 year old people.

Really? He was under no obligation to be tracked 24/7.

He passed in his sleep. A doctor was not needed in the morning.

So how the heck does he die so suddenly?

If you had to pick one Supreme Court justice who you would have guessed on the basis of genetics and age to be most likely to have a sudden fatal heart attack, who would you have picked?

Frequently the first symptoms of cardiac death is sudden death.

I’m pretty sure that unless you are directly under a doctors care, an autopsy is standard in Texas.

“Frequently the first symptoms of cardiac death is sudden death.”

Note to self, don’t post after taking Flexaril.

[At that age, every day is a gift.]

I will vouch for that. As someone older than 79 I can tell you it is like a car parked at the curb with a parking meter. The meter says “time expired” but the cop has not come by yet to write the ticket.
Enjoy every minute of every day while you can.
That’s one of the reasons I like FREE REPUBLIC.

What was the margin on the Heller decision? That’s right. Four maniacal leftists voted to excise the Second Amendment from the Bill of Rights. Think that’s all they’ve got on the chopping block? (As if that isn’t enough!) We’re basically a bad decision or two away from serfdom or national trigger time. But hey—no pressure.
