It's been a deadly, tragic week for law enforcement in the United States, as at least five officers have been shot and killed in the last four days.

What we have got to do is make it clear that any police officer who breaks the law will, in fact, be held accountable.
Bernie Sanders during the debate. Hillary agreed with him. Odd that they did not mention the police officers killed in the line of duty during the same week as their last debate.
Seems like the NFL half time show has been effective...

Most of the cop killers last week seem to have been weird young or cranky old white guys. There’s a lot of cop haters here on FR. Maybe it’s just as well that the Dems missed this....

And when the cops actions are proven to be self defense ages bust a violent thug we just let the man have the space to protest, eat, loot and burn.
When the president of the United States validates people-s anti cop prejudices, he creates an open season on police. Add to that the validation of top political contestants and the mayor of New York City and you have the trifecta of the anticop revolution. Throw in the perpetually aggrieved like Louis Farrakhan and Jessy Jackson and it is amazing we have not seen more killings. But there is still plenty of time left in the Obama presidency.

I suspect there haven’t been more killings because the police are hunkered down (especially in NYC after the two cops eating lunch were killed in their cruiser). Any cop-hating Simba that wanted to shoot a cop would have to go looking for one; contrary to the over-policing message, it is all too obvious from the urban crime stats that many of the worst areas are facing “de-policing”. The cops employed by those municipalities have to protect and serve those who pay them first; the freeloaders just have to hope for the best.

The same people who advocate for the most laws (democrats) are the group most hostile towards those who enforce the same laws.
I often wonder how the coalition known as the modern day DNC is held together. Labor unions and nanny state regulators and taxers that destroy labor jobs. African Americans and pro-Hispanic immigration advocates who lobby to remove scholarship and employment opportunities. Homosexuals and pro-Islamic immigration advocates who, unlike the majority of Christians, preach violence towards gays. Jewish-Americans and pro-Palestinian advocates who share the hatred of everything that is Jewish. The list goes on and on.
It really is unprecedented in history to find so many opposing demographic groups lumped together in direct opposition to their own seemingly core values.

Trump dynamites that coalition. It might not make a difference in deep blue states like CA but places like NV and VA will decide the election. Anything that puts the Dems on defense in swing states is good, IMO.
The only people who have respect for cops are ones who have never had to deal with them in their professional capacity, IMO.
