Speaking to the Aspen Institute on February 6, Michael Bloomberg said cities should ban young minority males from owning guns, both as an effort to reduce crime and to keep those minority males "alive."

Actually, Bloomberg’s plan WOULD work. A random, given minority, especially a black younth, is FAR more likely to be a criminal, than a random, given gun is to be USED in a crime.
He’s not charming or even likable. Now we see that he’s tone deaf when it comes to his base. Perfect candidate IMO.
But but but
The Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution (Article VI, Clause 2) establishes that the Constitution, federal laws made pursuant to it and treaties made under its authority, constitute the supreme law of the land.[1] It provides that state courts are bound by the supreme law; in case of conflict between federal and state law, the federal law must be applied. Even state constitutions are subordinate to federal law.[2] The federal government possesses only the supreme authority accorded it by the Constitution.

Exactly.
Besides being unconstitutional, what he is proposing wouldn’t even work to end gun violence among young men.
So it is double idiotic.
Why not just make it illegal for young black males to kill other young black males?
It makes about as much sense as this proposal.

Then I guess prayer before football games and in local classrooms really has been illegal since 1791.
The notion that the Bill of Rights applies to states (and ultimately to localities) comes from a misuse of the fourteenth amendment. Up until then states were free to have official religious establishments.
The Bill of Rights were explicitly written to apply only against the federal government--period.
Behind EVERY liberal facade is a true bigot.
> Canât wait to see what the Black Lives Matter say on this.
Absolutely nothing.
feral teens of color
I’m sure Bloomberg is gathering up thousands of flyers explaining his stand to personally hand out to every young minority male in Chicago. That should alleviate the gun violence there immediately.
“Well.. HE imploded quickly.”
We need to keep him in. He will take votes away from Biden; and help Cruz win.
They will still have access to the “community gun”, which is hidden in the hood for anyone to use as needed.
KKK was the first gun control organization.
Interesting you’d post that pic; I want to know how Bloomberg would feel if young minority males felt Jewish people shouldn’t own property or businesses.
Bloomberg is an elitist POS.
