No mystery here. If someone is out of work for more than 6 months they don't get counted in the unemployment stats—and there are many millions of folks that are in this group.

The stats are completely phony and people know it. Going forward it does not get any better since America has been fleeced out of so many industries in manufacturing and hi-tech due to our trade deals there is a surplus of people competing for jobs in the low paying service sector.
