"It's really about asking them whether they're going to get out and vote on Tuesday and whether they support Mr. Trump," McGough said. He said he had made 1,150 calls for Trump on Wednesday alone.
Kevin Bray, 51, another volunteer, said he had driven more than 20 hours in the rain from Nixa, Missouri, after seeing the results in Iowa.
"Iowa happened and I woke up really irritated," he said. "I said, you know, I want to make a difference." He said he arrived on Wednesday morning and told Trump's team to put him to work.
In a back room of the office, a white board displays ambitious goals for each day.
On Thursday, the team aimed to make 30,000 calls and knock on 2,500 doors. By early afternoon, campaign officials said they were partway to their goals. Their seven teams of volunteers sent to neighborhoods across the state had reported knocking on 823 doors so far.
On Friday, campaign staff hoped to boost the number to 5,000, as more than 100 new volunteers arrived from states such as New York and Pennsylvania to help. The team has run out of the 20,000 cards it printed to hand out during visits and was printing 25,000 more.
"I think look, we'll take nothing for granted," said Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, a New Hampshire resident overseeing the effort.

Post 37 was supposed to be for you. I guess there is another freeper named Mayor.
I'll grant you the sore loser Iowa thing, that could be seen that way (though it worked to derail Cruz's momentum, so it may have been a net plus for Trump), but the NY values scuffle was an unforced error by Cruz alone. New Yorker Trump just did what any candidate would do in defending his state, and did it with class and style. Ted needs to learn some politics 101: Don't write off entire states loaded with electoral votes just to take a cheap shot.
Perhaps the plane was being checked and re-checked yesterday for the trip to New Hampshire...and the final wise and prudent decision was made to NOT fly him and his many other passengers into a New England snowstorm.

He should have found a way to get there.

well, i’m voting but trump if he gets the nod.
i hope he keep maturing and i’m glad he lost iowa whether it was fair or not because it will make him grow in way he has never had to.
it is showing already in the phones calls and his realization that just big rallies aren’t enough.
he will see a lot he has never seen the next 10 months. good.
he needed some changing.
This snowed-out event is the best you’ve got?
I hear how Trump should do all these “small events” to meet and greet. Problem is, Trump draws thousands wherever he goes. Cruz, Rubio, and others get a couple of hundred.
Are voters better off locked out of a coffee shop downtown with no chance to hear Trump or at a venue where he can talk to thousands at a time.
You erroneously assume GGG wants to help Cruz, or any republican, gain the nomination.
Hadn’t considered that angle....
The guy sort of dismisses himself from serious consideration, like many of the Cruz folks have here.
Their candidate isn’t helped by this, but there’s no telling them.
They’re on a crusade for Cruz. None dare challenge word from on high you know.

GGG....you are one busy CRuzbot!! So ironic that you were able to rejoin the good folks, here at FR, last year...after a nearly 2.5 year absence. It’s also amazing how you’re able to post so many hourly posts (against Trump), day in/day out.....sometimes working, er, posting 20 hrs/day.
YOU are like a machine, man!!
Don’t forget about my favorite (and most obvious) point!
How about a teeny tiny taste of what the dems will do to the Donald if he makes it to the general (just imagine all the stuff they could have put in there if they wanted to devote a little more time...they will turn him into a laughing stock in no time):

I can assure you I’m doing what I can here in my little burg in Florida.
I want to make a difference!
I’ve lived here many many years.....my kids went to school here....we go to church here....my husband retired from here.....
That all makes a difference, I think, when you’re trying to influence people.....bloom where you grow!....
Having said that, I admire this man who drove to New Hamsphire, God love him!
Iowa was a blessing in disguise. Gave Trump a dose of political reality and exposed Cruz for the televangelist fake he is. Also put Rubio on the radar to be picked apart as he is a rich target.
Yes she was : )
I wouldn’t argue with that. I think you make some good points there.

Great points!!
Romneyesque TedTactics were exposed.
Was this intended for me? I’m for Trump and only Trump.
But Cruz is way ahead of The Don on the ground game.
Cruz has had thousands of dedicated workers from the start.
I copied you in ;-)
