Four days after winning the Iowa caucuses, Cruz's team is still struggling to answer questions about whether it relied on trickery to pad its lead by convincing Iowans that Carson - a rival for evangelical votes - was dropping out of the race. What the Cruz campaign initially called a knee-jerk response to ambiguous news reports has been revealed to be a more coordinated effort to steer Carson voters to the Cruz camp amid the chaotic caucus atmosphere.
A campaign of tweets, emails and calls to Cruz precinct captains encouraged the rapid spread of the news that Carson would be leaving the race and that a vote for him would be a "waste." The Cruz camp denies that it did anything other than pass along accurate news reports.
Anecdotal evidence has emerged that some voters who had intended to back Carson changed their minds after hearing the news. And perhaps more significantly, a pile-on by Cruz's opponents has kept the pressure on the Texas senator's campaign.
In at least one case, the misinformation left its mark. Waterloo resident Becky Smith said she stepped into the George Washington Carver Academy to cast her first-ever vote in the Iowa caucuses for Carson. She registered onsite as a Republican, switching her affiliation as an independent, so she could cast her ballot. But a man helping distribute ballots - she didn't know his name or campaign affiliation - said he had just heard that Carson was "suspending his campaign."

We will see.
Islam, the GOP-e, the Left and other enemies are realizing Cruz is gonna filet them as POTUS. Hence the desperate attacks.
Who has ever seen an Ivy League junkyard dog?
BUMP!
Why haven’t we seen a stream of Carson people who voted for Cruz.......maybe because the numbers are so small!!!!
“one Lord one faith one baptism” is dishonest. Deal with it ;-)
Cruz should fire Jeff Roe, his dirty tricks campaign director instead.

Why? Cruz took responsibility himsekf. Didn’t push it off on some campaign worker. I rather appreciated him doing so.
Play scumbag games, win scumbag prizes, Teddy-boy.
I’m getting disappointed with Cruz, I heard him on the Mike Gallagher show, typical politician non-apology, and he stated that there was no reason to discipline any of his staff.
A bigger load of hoseshyt than Trump claiming to be a conservative.
You’re hyperventilating again, trying your hardest to deflect and derail the conversation away from Ted’s egregious failures to actually be a conservative, rather than merely pose as one.
Answer the charges, or stop wasting my time.
Per, type in “trump touch back amnesty” and Google will provide you all the quotes from the cult leader himself.
I especially like the 7/29/15 interview on CNN with Dana Bash.
Would it matter to you if Trump supported touch back amnesty?
To most cult followers it wouldn’t. They don’t care about facts or issues.
I am a conservative so I do care.
What about you?
And someone is spreading nasty rumors that Jim Robinson’s favorite presidential candidate, Ted Cruz, is not eligible to run for president.
The outrage! And to think that Trump is spreading these vile rumors!
;-)
Thanks for the link.
That kind of publicity cost Trump not a dime. Trump dropped it, but a lot of voters won't.
Nowhere in your favorite interview does Trump say he will let them all back in. You are lying.
+1
If that’s the one responsible, then, yes, fire him (should have already happened, in my view).
Lol, yes he does and he adds on an expedited basis.
I encourage everyone to listen to it, quite shocking really ( especially for the cult true believers )
I am saying reality is what it is. I am saying that Carson made a rookie tactical blunder and the Cruz campaign tried to exploit it. Have you found any Carson supporters it worked on? I hear a little hearsay. Here again, by now Carson should have testimonials from his duped supporters.
It's how the game is played and will always be played until men become angels.
I would also offer that the relentless attention to this tempest in a teapot as a stick to beat Cruz with is a patent effort to defeat the Conservative. And that it is shameful to see FReepers just delighted to join in.
My reading of all of Jim's messages I have seen discourages this.
But, many don't seem to care about that, either.
