Schlafly came to national attention when millions of copies of her self-published book, A Choice, Not an Echo, were distributed in support of Goldwater's 1964 presidential campaign.
Phyllis Schlafly was the first major conservative to endorse Marco Rubio for US Senator over Governor Charlie Crist.
Yesterday Phyllis Shlafly said freshman Senator Marco Rubio should be disqualified from the presidential race for lying to conservatives in English and saying something entirely different on Spanish language television.
Schlafly released a 15 page "Rubio Betrayal Memo" Friday to denounce Rubio's actions as US Senator. Check Eagle Forum for updates.

I wonder who got to Rush. He used to be so, well, honest and uncorruptable but now, with this Rubio endorsement; one has to wonder what changed in his life all of a sudden.

I CAN TELL YOU THIS: THERE HAS BEEN NO, ZERO ENDORSEMENT BY Mrs. Schlafly of Donald Trump. I am a former radio show host in Northern California and I had Mrs. Schlafly on my radio show when I was on the air. I still had her home phone number, so I called her this week to ask her to rescind her supposed endorsement of Trump. She said she had never made one — and that this was another case of bad media reporting. At the same time, I put in a good word for Ted Cruz, but she said she wasn’t making an endorsement at this time.
She has NOT endorsed Trump. Totally and completely FALSE. See post 23. I spoke to Phyllis this past week.
Has Limbaugh called Schlafly a liberal clown since she stated, “Trump is the last hope for America”.
Trump and Beck are no bueno from my perspective.

Well she had some good things to say about him, I read what she said and I agree with her.
Here is what she said, and I hope she doesn’t roll it back because she is right.
“He does look like he’s the last hope [for America],†Schlafly said. “We don’t hear anybody saying what he’s saying. In fact, most of the people who ought to be lining up with him are attacking him. They’re probably jealous of the amount of press coverage he gets. But the reason he gets so much press coverage is the grassroots are fed up with people who are running things, and they do want a change. They do want people to stand up for America. It really resonates when he says he wants to ‘Make America Great Again.’â€
Schlafly said it’s not only Republicans who feel betrayed, but Democrats, too.
“They are betrayed,†she said. “There’s no doubt about it. The working man and woman have been betrayed by both parties. They’re ready for a change … anything they think would be better.â€
Where did she state it? I asked you a simple question. But no matter what you give me, she told me this week in a personal phone call THAT SHE HAD NOT ENDORSED DONALD TRUMP. Now do you want to claim “good enough” for you — and that she has endorsed him. FALSE. I say false and I know it.

Thank you for providing the information and for your first sentence. That makes sense. But I think it will be a long day before one of the greatest Christian women of the last century endorses a serial adulterer, long-time supporter of abortion and strip club owner. I don’t see it happening.
