I hope Trump wins big in NH and buries the cheaters.
Nobody’s guilty of anything. They took a CNN report and repeated it. No one knew that it was wrong until the Carson people issued a clarification.
Then why did Ted Cruz apologize.
Yes — but the media wanted it to be Cruz.
The person who is most responsible is named Ben Carson. He’s basically an amateur who is out of his league. Leaving the campaign trail for “fresh clothes” indicates he is not the least bit serious about the country.
Well, if so, his campaign has played it almost perfectly.
To see the proof, all one has to do is watch all the crap being flung around on FR between Cruz and Trump supporters.
All the while, Rubio sits on the sidelines, eating his popcorn and preparing for NH with nary a fleck of crap on him...
I don’t think either Rubio or Cruz is “guilty” on this. CNN was reporting that Carson was going home to Florida rather than going on to NH or SC. It’s not that far-fetched to infer from that that it sounds like Carson is quitting. So I think it’s plausible that some Rubio and Cruz people took it that way and went with it. In any case, I don’t think it made much difference in the outcome.

What’s Interesting is that Cruz supporters are desperate to blame anyone besides the one who has accepted responsibility.
Poor Ben Carson thinks politics is Romper Room. He better toughen up or get out of it. Anyone who has been following politics for any length of time knows you have to be made of steel to last and you will be wrongfully attacked. Ben better go back to medicine. Politics is not Church.
And Trump needs to learn how to lose gracefully.
In spite of all the arguments here, and Trump threatening to sue, and Cruz apologizing, the “Carson is possibly quitting” story is a big fat nothingburger.

I’m thinking Rubio-GOP-e setup the rumor, fed it to Cruz and Trump blamed the wrong guy.

I find it hard to believe. Because, for 2 days we have been told that it was Cruz’s camp that was spreading this word. Carson seemed to think it was one of Cruz’s allies.
This campaign is getting stranger and stranger. It is difficult to know what to believe.
