...What has not been said much throughout the day is that Florida Senator Marco Rubioâs campaign worked actively to spread the message that Carson was leaving the presidential race. These actions were reported on Twitter by Conrad Close who, according to his Twitter profile, is the managing editor of Outset Magazine.

Bingo! Piss-poor judgment by Cruz and Company, and Cruz needs to be held accountable. Unfortunately, an apology is not enough, but it is too late. I currently hold Cruz and Trump as my top picks, but if any more shenanigans by Cruz, he is off my list for good.
The thing is, its now in the public consciousness that Cruz cheats. Mission accomplished.
Carson is acting flaky. He really did go back to Florida to wash his underwear the day after the primary. That’s a fact. New Hampshire one week away and he is going to go home and do laundry. Blame yourself Ben.
Not if Trump can use it to destroy Cruz and Rubio.
I’m kinda in the position of whoever wins the GOP nomination is the only person I can vote for to keep Hillary Clinton out of the white house.
Because if she wins, I’m not sure I will stay here to be perfectly honest.
I cannot stomach the thought of this country electing that shrieking harpy. I just can’t do it.
But I think I am coming to the sad realization that we have a field of incredibly flawed candidates on our side.
“From Whom did CNN learn that Dr Carson might be leaving the race?”

That’s a very good question....The CNN tweet came out Monday about 5:45 PM....the young Rubio supporter tweeted at about 6:30 PM that the Rubio camp was pushing this story hard...so, both the Rubio and Cruz campaigns had picked up on the story...and, both were playing politics with it as the caucus was about to begin...as they say, this ain’t bean bag!
I don’t think Trump is pure. I’m no fool.
And right now I think Trump is on the road to losing.
But I know for a fact Ted Cruz ain’t pure. He ain’t no Christian.
He’s an opportunist, and so is Rubio.
“Carson was polling at 10 percent; he got 9. That could be reasonable polling error, or at most the report cost him one percentage point. (At most.)”

The final RCP average for IA had Carson at 7.7%, only one recent poll had him at 10%...and the trend was downward...he probably over-performed...
I’m thinking Rubio-GOP-e setup the rumor, fed it to Cruz and Trump blamed the wrong guy.
Feels very much like GOP-e
For later.
Not true, He has Microsoft hung around his neck.
You are so full of BS. He got one less delegate - big fricking deal.
Exactly, it’s not a big deal, at all.
It’s like stubby fingers is not a big deal, but he’s unstable enough that he can’t handle it and has to have a meltdown over it.
He showed good magnanimous form Monday night and he should has just move on. But it was clearly an act and he can’t keep his true self bottled up. It’s not a good look.
Rush just said “Cruz committed a crime. He won.” Now the long knives are out for Cruz: from Trump, from the establishment republicans, from the democrats, from the media (including CNN).
What they all fear from Cruz is that he says, when elected president, “I will do exactly what I said I would do.”
The objective of all this foolishness is simply to discredit Cruz.
It wasn’t a fabricated attack on Cruz. He did this, his people did this so there is no hidden agenda to discredit Cruz, he discredited himself.
Rush wants to get past that as does the open-borders Fox hosts like O’Reilly. He actually tried to talk Dr. Carson into backing off.
I find it hard to believe. Because, for 2 days we have been told that it was Cruz’s camp that was spreading this word. Carson seemed to think it was one of Cruz’s allies.
This campaign is getting stranger and stranger. It is difficult to know what to believe.
Who are the people (the Cruz people) who did this? Any names been named? Disclaimer: I pay very marginal attention to the presidential campaign, thus it is very likely that I miss reported news items.
I wonder if the false report by CNN was directly aimed at Cruz.
I have a feeling that Iowan Carson voters would lean more to Rubio than Cruz, only because of the demagoguery of Cruz, and the big push for Rubio by all news networks on Sunday and Monday prior to the caucus.
I am an exception, and if Ben is no longer in the race, will not vote for Rubio.
