Ted Cruz apologized to Dr. Ben Carson on Tuesday after the Texas senator's campaign was accused of trying to sabotage his opponent's chances in the Iowa caucuses.
Cruz's campaign blasted out a report Monday night that suggested Carson was going home to Florida instead of campaigning after the Iowa caucuses - something Cruz said Tuesday is "fair game" - but admitted that the campaign should have corrected that report when it became clear Carson wasn't dropping out of the race. He was just going home to get "fresh clothes."

On top of what you’re listing, I’d like to know why nobody is holding Carson responsible for not packing his bags adequately.
He could have had them cleaned on the road and he could have had them shipped from Florida to Iowa by someone else.
He exhibited very poor judgement and planning.
On that very night, Cruz gave a very sincere apology for something that he didn’t do but his people did.
Or Carson could have bought new clothes on the road. I’m sure that would have been cheaper than buying extra plane tickets to Florida.

It is funny to see the same people who were having a good laugh over Trump's comparison of Carson to some psycho child abuser, having a hissy fit over this nothing.
The same people who were having a "lord of the flies" attitude are suddenly feeling put out by Cruz's "dirty twicks".
Smearing and destroying the reputation of a man is just regular ok politics...but this is just horrible, horrible.

No, they said that Carson was traveling to Florida AND WOULD NOT BE GOING TO NH OR SC.Those were the facts they gave and those were the facts that the Cruz camp passed on to their local people.
CNN’s speculation was that everybody knows if you don’t go to NH and SC it means you’re dropping out.
I respect Carson, but if he goes after Cruz rather than going after CNN it tears down some of that respect.

Factual question: Is Carson going to campaign in NH and SC, or not? If not, why not? He told Hannity that if he didn’t win the first couple primaries he would drop out. Is he seriously thinking he can win NH without campaigning there?

CNN’s article on Cruz’s apology was full of deceptions and lies to try to make Cruz out as the bad guy so no, they’ve not apologized. They’ve not even acknowledged that what they reported was wrong.
But then, what they reported was that Carson wasn’t going to go to NH and SC. Has Carson said that he IS going there? Were the facts claimed by CNN erroneous?

I guess team Cruz is the only campaign that watches CNN since only Cruz puts out the lie that Carson is dropping out. And of course it falls on team Cruz, not Ben Carson to announce that Ben Carson is dropping out of the race just moments before Iowa votes.
