To be sure, Sen. Ted Cruz accomplished something no other GOP candidate this year has been able to do. He made Donald Trump a loser. No amount of humility or grace will change the fact The Donald was handed his first "L" at the hands of that "Canadian" nobody likes. And it wasn't even close.
Yet, even as Cruz might like to revel in this history-making night in Iowa, the storyline has shifted away from him to the emergence of Marco Rubio as a viable alternative in the GOP race. Not only did Trump lose to Cruz, he almost lost to Rubio in a dramatic, last-minute surge that propelled Rubio to within 1 percentage point of second place.

Read the analysis on this thread. Rubio is the darling of CNN and Fox and the establishment. He won that battle.
Whether we like it or not, Rubio was close enough to Trump to be one of the top three.
There wasn’t enough spread to address a top two.
What that means from here is that Rubio will likely be seen as having more clout than people were thinking. He was very competitive and that’s a big win.
I don’t like it, but it’s true.
Will it translate well from here? We will have to keep and eye on him, that’s for sure.
Hehe let the press and other foes think Trump is over (again).
Trump will win N.H. and the MSM will go back to being in meltdown mode.

I’m dreading the epic big money and big media push coming for Rubio
The Rubio push began the night of the last debate. It was all Rubio and has been on Fox.

In case u don’t know Luntz can be bought. When Cameron was trying to be Tory leader in the UK, against a real conservative, Luntz set up one of his “Groups”. During the debate all the swings were magically to Cameron and the members bought it......we have been living with the damage ever since.
Anyone he endorses has more than likely paid for it.
Come on! Cruz picked up ONE more delegate than Trump in a nothing state. Big deal! Let’s see how things shake out after South Carolina or Super Tuesday; then we can talk seriously about winners and losers. I really can’t stand so-called pundits who decide that a one point pickup in the polls equals a SURGE. Too bad we have to listen to all this garbage.
