Trump congratulates Ted Cruz

Thanks Iowans for their support, and says he loves them ( he might even buy a farm there )

Gives his appreciation to all other candidates especially Huckabee ( who suspended his campaign )

Looks forward to New Hampshire ( where he has a huge lead ) and South Carolina ( likewise )

It is Iowa. They have not picked a president in many years. You can really see how all the many low lying candidates pared off votes. And what is with Rubio? He won in the populated leftist counties around Des Moine.

Well, the GOP isn't smart. But it IS a three man race. Cruz has the Evangelical lane and is competing in the conservative lane. Rubio is taking control of the Establishment lane after Trump made a move in that direction. Trump is competing for the conservative lane and has his own special lane.

I am hopeful that Huck and Santorum supporters will consider Cruz over Rubio in New Hampshire. On the other hand, if Rubio does well (strong second), that will knock out Kasich, John Ellis Bush (whether he knows it or not), and maybe Christie.

A good ground game is hard to beat and lost it in the last couple days. Most likely Rush hammering him today on a supporter of Single Payer healthcare likely cost him the state. Great job by Cruz.

I have to say that Trump’s speech was pithy and classy. He congratulated Cruz and all the other Republican candidates.

I this Trump's hinting he can work with Reid and Pelosi was ill-timed and hurt him more than he realized. He tried to close the wrong deal. This is far from over, and he won't make that mistake again.
