Trump lends campaign nearly $11 million
The Washington Examiner ^ | February 1, 2016 | Al Weaver

Posted on 02/01/2016 1:15:54 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump raised $13.6 million in the fourth fundraising quarter, according to the campaign's filing with the Federal Election Commission.

Trump, who often boasts about that he is self-funding his campaign, loaned his campaign $10.8 million, leaving his operation with nearly $7 million in cash-on-hand.

The campaign reported that it spent nearly $7 million during the fourth quarter alone. It raised $2.6 million beyond Trump's loan. Most came from small dollar donations.

The campaign owes $12.6 million to Trump himself.

The filing shows that the Trump campaign spent nearly $500,000 on hats, primarily on the red caps featuring the popular slogan "Make America Great Again."

The real estate mogul's filing comes less than 24 hours before the Iowa caucuses, where Trump holds a slight lead in polls over Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

That’s what I said.

Cruz hasn’t supported amnesty.

He’s supported legal immigration and H1B, but never amnesty.

Let’s be honest about these things. Anyone going over to Rubio is voting for the establishment, the enemy.

They’ve got so many wrapped around the axle over extraneous things, that we’ve lost sight of the target.

The target is THE ESTABLISHMENT, whether GOP or otherwise.

Cruz is not pro-amnesty. Never has been.

Ultimately either Cruz or Rubio will drop out and whoever welds both their voters into a block that will crush Trump."""".......

There is a lot of comfort in that statement, and you are right, thank GOD there is some redeeming hope from this mass hysteria of "the NEXT won".

No he hasn’t. He worked with Sessions to kill amnesty. I have no reason to believe that Sessions is pro-amnesty.

But, we are doing the bidding of the establishment again and killing each other off.

We are so damn reliable. They laugh at us all the way to their next deal to bring us under a dictatorship.

Trump defends donations to Clinton Foundation

".....As a high profile member of the New York establishment, Trump naturally gravitated toward the former president and his wife, the sitting Senator from the state. That he felt it necessary as a businessman to cultivate the Clintons is not in dispute. But some of the glowing words he had for Hillary are not easily reconciled with his current thoughts about her.

Is insincerity a part of "getting along" with everybody? That's what most Republicans will have to decide before they vote."

If he tales pubic financing, can he augment that with his own personal money?

I have a hard time believing that anyone could be competitive with only $85 million. OTOH, $85 mil plus his own money could get the job done without any fundraising.

“Ultimately either Cruz or Rubio will drop out and whoever welds both their voters into a block that will crush Trump.”

Then you’re saying Cruz and Rubio are interchangeable, their policies are the same if voters will go in one block to either.

That’s amnesty and the end of our country

Exactly. Support for Rubio is support for more invasion. Period. If that attitdue is indicative of Cruz’s “Principled conservative” support base then he is a bigger fraud than even the kenyan.

It is not Cruz’s fault that some supporter misunderstands and would turn to Rubio instead.

My sense is that they don’t realize what is at stake.

We started this whole primary knowing that we needed to ditch the establishment. Now the establishment has us fighting each other over tax plans, ethanol purity tests, and ancient comments.

Who is most likely to kill the establishment if they get in power?

Trump and Cruz. I’m supporting either one of those who is winning. Right now that looks like Trump.

Why would I put a Rubio in power when all he’ll do is give me more of this sorry government that has us trillions in debt, the laughing stock of our enemies, and a moral/ethical cesspool of baby killing and unnatural behavior.

Time to cut off the head of the serpent. Have folks forgotten that?

The article states his campaign “has raised $2.6 million beyond Trump’s loan. Most came from small dollar donations.”
In a general election race, do you picture him self-financing?

Does it matter?

Have we forgotten how much media attention Trump garners without spending a dime? Look at the amount of money that JEB! has spent compared to Trump and where he stands in the polls. JEB!’s campaign is all but over having spent close to $110M, and Trump has spent less than $20M total. Trump has turned the status quo of the election process upside down and inside out.
