Twenty-two veterans organizations are about to receive a hefty infusion of cash, thanks to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his long-simmering fight with Fox News.
The GOP front-runner, who hosted his own event in Des Moines, Iowa after boycotting the Republican debate just three miles down the road, announced Thursday that he had raised $6 million to donate to veterans groups. Trump donated $1 million of his own money to the cause.

Thanks for posting and agree completely!!
Is the Wounded Warrior Project really that bad? don’t know anything about their operations.
God Bless Donald Trump. A good Man. So giving. So selfless.
Trump 2016.
Thank you Don Trump!
I’ve done no research, but I’ve heard a LOT of negative commentary in the last couple of months
Yesterday and today Donald Trump presented checks for $100,000 each to:
Projects for Patriots in Sioux City, IA
Puppy Jake in Des Moines, IA
Support Siouxland Soldiers in Sioux City, IA
I like it that he is giving significant amounts, but not amounts that would overwhelm any one of these small charities.
On CBS, Face the Nation, this morning he explained why they weren’t giving anything to the Wounded Warrior Project. He mentioned their overhead, and the fact that Trace Atkins was fundraising for them. I would not be surprised to see a turn-around at the WWP.
thanks.
Thank you Donald Trump for helping raise 6 million dollars to help
support some Vet groups, especially on so short notice.
It looks like it is giving only 60% of donation to help vets.
From what I’ve heard good charities should be around 90%.
So it’s only helping 2/3 as many vets as it should?
What a waste. Plenty of other good vet charities around.
I think Trump’s support of vets is sincere and good
Great to see. Like I said, Trump and Cruz didn’t win, the vets won!
“It looks like it is giving only 60% of donation to help vets.”
Where do you get this information that says this, please?
you have to wait to see how much is disbursed before making that kind of claim...
Mr. Trump is a good man, and knows how to play the game. As Pres, he would be good at shaking up the organization and bringing in a good team.
He has a results oriented type of management style.
Wounded Warrior scam is just about over. Bill O’Reilly, a big supporter for years, is on them. He mentioned it the other night.
Trump...a true Christian, coming to the aid of those in need. So different from those who claim to be good Christians, but then hide behind the constitution in denying aid and comfort to fellow Americans who are in need.
God bless this man who is giving up the ultra luxurious life and devote his time instead to serving the people and make Americas great again.

That’s not what I heard, I heard Donald Trump funneled the first $250,000 to his billionair’s club annual baby seal killing expedition.
Then the club plan to further raid the donations to the tune of $300,000 to split fund a dolphin fight club and a South American cat juggling ring.
he’s talking about wounded warriors not Trump
He’s referring to WWP, not the money Trump raised.

WW spends a lot on fundraising. However, they spend only 6% on administrative. But you see all the stickers and blankets and bags etc etc that costs a lot. they do have a great reach, and with an intake of over $300 million they obviously can do a lot of good. They should spend less on fundraising now since they are well established.
