Cruz says he won't apologize to anyone for the mailers -- suggesting he's "encouraging" people to turn out to caucus.

Oh, in a couple of days or so. :-)
Good summary. It ends up Ted uses typical political maneuvers after all. Even the creepy ones Obama used.
(thanks for the links- I laughed at the handle-holder, I have fought with that scorching handle a lot!)
See my previous comments above for your answer. Again, I don't give a flaming RIP about the deranged army eating its own fellows. Get my meaning, or don't. It doesn't matter to me, FRiend.
“Ted Cruz is a conservative.”
Cruz is proving himself to be just another politician. And a bad one, at that.
Every campaign accesses voter databases. Please stop with the phony moral outrage.
To suggest this “shaming” tactic a bit “creepy” would be a gross understatement. It’s one thing to mail the recipients voting record/reminder to caucus. It’s quite another to juxtapose/expose that information with those of one’s neighbor’s. Imagine the manipulations such “public information” any candidate could use to “encourage”/”shame” potential voters to do or buy into?
Conservative means smaller and less intrusive government. This tack smacks of exactly what we hate about DC’s intrusive manipulations and Cruz should have known better. Ugh!
Wrong. I couldn't care less about political campaigns. It's McCain, Trump and leftists who are constantly complaining about campaign finance reform and whatnot. I care about what the politicians actually do when they're in office. I care when they break their promises. Ted Cruz never has broken his campaign promises. He's a guy you can count on to stick to his principles. Trump is a guy who changes his views like a weather vane to try to get more popular. He has no core values and there's no way to know what he will do once elected.
LOL, excellent! I think even Levin would appreciate your post.
“I don’t care one way or another about the stupid flyer. This is about the retarded, debilitating war among conservatives that liberals are just eating up.”
Actually, what’s going on here at FR, with some notable exceptions, is a political discourse of mammoth proportions. My guess is that by Tuesday next, things will have “cooled off” considerably. Enjoy the ride!
Yep, by both parties
The Sec. has condemned it as “inappropriate”,and wrong in it's facts. They do not keep records of caucus goers; as the political Parties organize them. To infer a”Violation” of Iowa law has happened; as the mailer does, could be considered fraudulent.
This not good. Such a mistake of judgment and fact does, unfortunately, show another side to a man we have admired.
Both conservative and liberal campaigns have used similar mailings since 2004 in many states. I posted two articles about it earlier.

You didn’t address any points I made. I said them from what I have experienced in MY life.
My friend was almost killed by an illegal Mexican in a drunken car accident. Her nightmare continues to this day.
Tenets of ‘Trumpism’?
I recognize you are a longtime Freeper but so am I.
We can agree to disagree but I adhere to no tenets of Trumpism, thank you.
Our long term goal is to defeat Hillary or Sanders or Biden.
One can only hope Ted is scheduled to be on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace tomorrow. :-)
The research people say the shame aspect is why this works. You would remove that by taking out the idea that they show you how other people in your neighborhood are voting. They also want you to think your neighbors are seeing if you voted. I agree it seems silly to me, but they are the marketing experts and they say it works for the particular people they’re targeting.
“Even the stupid New York Times said it was just “tradition,” not federal law that was “offended.””
Well, gosh, next time you are in court take them with you as defense, I am sure the judge will be most impressed! Nothing like a liberal rage as a legal reference.
I really can't stand anyone in the rest of the GOP field nor anyone in the Democrat field. With Cruz going by the wayside of typical politicians and opportunists, there now isn't a single good and decent person seeking the office of POTUS in 2016.
I had hoped Cruz would be the GOP nominee and that with his ability to articulate conservatism so well, would be able to sway enough in a Democrat majority electorate to come a away with narrow win in November.
Now have resigned myself to Trump being the the GOP nominee. I don't see how Trump, or anyone else in the GOP field, will win over independents. And even if the do win, what is the difference. They are all like Democrats anyway, so there is no hope for the country.
In essence, I think we are f-ed.
LOL, I’ve been told so many times in the past couple days that I shouldn’t be talking about Trump on this or that thread because it’s off-topic. Hilarious that they’re just trying to shut us up now instead of addressing the arguments. But also kind of scary, because it’s the same kind of intimidation tactic Trump and his lawyers have used against the media who try to report honestly on his past.
