I am terribly sad to see Ted Cruz fall like this. It seems he just got desperate in the closing days fearing a strong showing for Trump.

I really can't stand anyone in the rest of the GOP field nor anyone in the Democrat field. With Cruz going by the wayside of typical politicians and opportunists, there now isn't a single good and decent person seeking the office of POTUS in 2016.

I had hoped Cruz would be the GOP nominee and that with his ability to articulate conservatism so well, would be able to sway enough in a Democrat majority electorate to come a away with narrow win in November.

Now have resigned myself to Trump being the the GOP nominee. I don't see how Trump, or anyone else in the GOP field, will win over independents. And even if the do win, what is the difference. They are all like Democrats anyway, so there is no hope for the country.

In essence, I think we are f-ed.

Pains me to agree with you. Nothing personal, of course. Just that I reluctantly am coming to the point wherein we share the same sentiment.
