Trump out polled Cruz even though Trump didn’t show up. Rubio did well though. Kudos 2 him.

None of them are any match for Cruz’s ground game, and his massive army of volunteers.

The big story is often not who wins but who “does better than expected.”

Probably nobody, and since most of the recent people who have gotten the “Iowa bump” have never gotten the nomination, I’m not sure it matters anyway.

Who gets the bump.

We have to wait for media to tell us.

Trump wins and will go on to win New Hampshire and South Carolina.

I just hope the FR mods are resting up this weekend.

Whatever way it goes, this place could get ugly Monday night and Tuesday.

Or should I say...uglier

Sorry to say but I’m betting on Rubio for an Iowa Bump.

Reasons:

1. Beats Jeb by a mile.
2. Finishes 3rd but closer to Cruz than expected.
3. The MSM needs a new darling to take on our two guys.

120,000 turn out = Cruz win

140,000 turn out = Trump win

The shaming mailer could hurt Cruz, but I’m not sure how this automatically helps Rubio.

Rubio has become ‘born again religious conservative’ in just the last few days and most of Cruz’s support was from social conservatives. They came to Cruz originally from Carson when his numbers went down, so I don’t think they’ll turn to Trump.

In the past they’ve supported Huckabee and Santorum who are both in this race. My guess is they’ll split between Carson, Huckabee, and Santorum.

That still leaves Trump in the driver’s seat EVEN WITH a 120,000 - 140,000 turnout.

Even Cruz thinks that if Trump wins Iowa that Trump will become the GOP nominee.
