Ted Cruz has crisscrossed Iowa, headed to all 99 counties and has aggressively targeted this state‘s evangelical voters. Jeb Bush hired a top Iowa operative and had 30 paid staffers to build his operation here, while saying last summer that he still hoped to win the Hawkeye State.
And Marco Rubio has dropped more money on TV than any other candidate, culminating in a 30-minute advertisement he‘s launching in media markets across the state.
But each of these candidates have something in common: They are bracing for a Donald Trump win in Iowa and planning for the aftermath.

“Question: What exactly is Cruzâ floor?”
Hard to say.
Almost 90% of his support came in the past 2 months, and most of that came from Carson.
It’s soft support. People that were not original Cruz fans. Just the “not Trump” vote.
So he could hit back to single-digits at the extreme end.
It all hinges on turn out of course. If trump can motivate his non traditional voters to caucus for him, Trump in a blowout. If the caucus is the usual voters Cruz in a squeaker.
I think the caucus will be the usual voters so Cruz wins a close race and the Trump dominates all the other primaries.
it’s like the man said......
Cruz is Mom and Pop
Trump is Walmart
there is a new, successful dynamic
Everyone is bracing for impact, as one FReeper’s tagline says, There’s a bull in the RINO shop
THAT makes sense. He is loaded enough as is Bu$h also, to play in the field, but losing two starter states begins to make donors realistic about lighting a match to money.
The Cruz micro targeting of Evangelicals alone, Iowa alone, was, I thought, a huge mistake. Wasn’t it inevitable that the broader electorate, even Evangelicals, are serious about addressing the subversion of our population with Third Worlders, South American socialists, and foreigners?
I mean that Cruz willingness to play footsie with the legalization of invaders who are overwhelming our institutions, infuriates Americans.
NICE!
“To reveal your neighborâs voting record is really sleazy. I am surprised it is even legal.
Pray America wakes”
Probably legal but it does have sleaze written all over it as you stated. Reminds me of big brother watching over your shoulder.
It may be "legal" to go through the neighbor's trash once it's been put on the street. That doesn't make it smart.
Remember this important info .. Winning Iowa IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF BEING PRESIDENT.
Do a little checking, and you’ll find that a lot of our Presidents DID NOT WIN IOWA.
Cruz is sending out shaming letters which suggest he’s looking at third place. If so he’s done.
Well nothing inspires voter loyalty like a shaming letter. :-)
I got mail like that last election cycle.
Don’t blame Cruz, there’s a lot trash out there.
Anybody’d guess but it could be a rival campaign attempt to smear another just as easy.
(Thanks!!)
The shaming email reminds me of mail I’ve gotten from the RNC during the past two presidential election cycles. It’s no wonder Obama won.
That was my first thought. Think Hiroshima post-bomb, mainly because Cruz was in the lead and the predicted winner earlier in the game. Then we have the "bandwagon effect" by those mindless ones who follow the crowd, and some in the media, as well as here, will claim it is all over.
IMO, it WOULD be over, unless Trump self-destructs with his infantile name-calling. At least though, we would be spared the "Jebs Back!", "Rubio's my man!" or other breathless news releases. It would be much tougher for Cruz to make any headway, even if the others' supporters flock to him.
Monday is gonna be interesting.
