He is ahead in Iowa and up by double-digit margins in New Hampshire and South Carolina, a new poll finds; Democrats could see roller-coaster ride in first contests
Donald Trump is dominating the GOP presidential field in the first three states to vote in the 2016 campaign, including in Iowa where he has extinguished the lead once held by Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC/Marist Poll finds.

He’s been a real dweeb about Trump not walking into the Hitler ambush Fox had set up for him.
Amazingly that last half of the above sentence is actually true.
Can you believe it?
Good idea.
I was specifically wondering about Iowa and New Hampshire and South Carolina, but I probably need to be more patient. Not my strong suit!
Hope you’re right! The media is bashing hum up and down though, as is Cruz. They are all lying about why he’s not going. So I hope people are informed enough to see through it.

God Bless our Veterans!
I don’t think the Iowa decision will affect New Hampshire very much. By the time it gets to S. Carolina it will be over.
Monday was all about turnout for Trump anyway, so we’ll see what happens about the same time as we get polls on the effect of pulling out of the debate.
They can’t fool the high info votes.
“Heâs been a real dweeb about Trump not walking into the Hitler ambush Fox had set up for him.”
He’s been very disappointing on this. He is siding with the liberal media, lying about why Trump is not attending.
I ‘thought’ he had more class than most. Turns out he doesn’t and is just a typical politician. Hubby thinks Cruz doesn’t have any real convictions but decided long ago he wanted to be president, and every decision he’s made has had that end goal in mind. I’m beginning to think he may be right.
I think he has burned his bridges with Trump. Which is good - I wouldn’t want to have to vote for him as VP.
This is over on Super Tuesday.
They are awesome
I don’t recall if this is true, but I heard that it took some time to calculate all the votes in the Iowa caucus (at least days IIRC). Microsoft has developed an app that will be used, which is also supposed to make the totals more accurate (apparently some issues last time), and we should know the totals and winner within a few hours after the caucus Monday night.
But Trump says Cruz is nasty, unlike his friends Reid, Pelosi, and Schumer.
Interesting that a real conservative, Cruz, would most likely be leading in all 3 states if not for Trump. Conservatives are throwing away their best chance since Reagan at getting a real conservative in the White House.
Cruz is still my 2nd choice, but I do wonder how the Canadian thing will play during the general election when the democrats get ahold of it.
PASSION
I do not agree with electronic voting, but if that’s what they’re doing, then it cannot be helped.

Yep. It’s crazy. And amazingly there is no outrage from “Principled Conservative” Cruz. I don’t see any outrage at all from Cruzers about Fox/Google inviting democrats to ask questions at a GOP debate. A muzzie who branded Trump Hitlerian and a wet back/female/veteran no less. It was a hit and can’t be more obvious.
Yet Team Cruz is silent to this outrage and choosing instead to attack Trump. If Cruz had any honor he would be walking from that debate too.
But really the debate situation reminds me of the TPA battle. Back then Cruzers ignored Cruz campaigning for Barack Obama after taking piles of cash from Wall Street. They are doing the same here as Cruz backs Fox as they attack the GOP. Cruz is a career politician who looks out for number 1. Always. Really sad to see because he had so much potential. What a waste.
He folded on TPA, didn’t he?
Trump was always ahead. The pollsters just have to stop lying as the actual primary approaches.
Passing over Cruz for this guy.
And there's nothing good behind doors 1, 2 or 3.
For what it’s worth......

Starting in 2016, the caucus site voting that was previously a non-binding poll becomes
the binding method of selecting delegates.[6] Acting in accordance with a mandate from the
Republican National Committee, the delegates are bound to vote for candidates in proportion to
the votes cast for each candidate at the caucus sites.
Charlie Szold, communications director for the Republican Party of Iowa, said, “”We have partnered
with Microsoft and they have built us a special app that allows our precinct captains to report
data quickly. They can do that right there on their smart phones or tablets or computers and they
can do it very accurately because you can see the number you are typing in.”
He added that at the central collection point there will be special algorithms to flag any data
that doesn’t match up to expectations, so unusual numbers will generate contact with the precinct
for confirmation or correction.
Szold said, “The results will be made available almost in real time. The results will come
to us. They will go through that internal check I was talking about and then they will be
published on a public website with a map view of Iowa. You will be able to see results at
the precinct level.”[7]
A DUmocrat already has got ahold of it....he decided to use it when his poll numbers started tanking. Same thing he did with Carson until he closed the gap.
