He’s been very disappointing on this. He is siding with the liberal media, lying about why Trump is not attending.
I ‘thought’ he had more class than most. Turns out he doesn’t and is just a typical politician. Hubby thinks Cruz doesn’t have any real convictions but decided long ago he wanted to be president, and every decision he’s made has had that end goal in mind. I’m beginning to think he may be right.
I think he has burned his bridges with Trump. Which is good - I wouldn’t want to have to vote for him as VP.

Yep. It’s crazy. And amazingly there is no outrage from “Principled Conservative” Cruz. I don’t see any outrage at all from Cruzers about Fox/Google inviting democrats to ask questions at a GOP debate. A muzzie who branded Trump Hitlerian and a wet back/female/veteran no less. It was a hit and can’t be more obvious.
Yet Team Cruz is silent to this outrage and choosing instead to attack Trump. If Cruz had any honor he would be walking from that debate too.
But really the debate situation reminds me of the TPA battle. Back then Cruzers ignored Cruz campaigning for Barack Obama after taking piles of cash from Wall Street. They are doing the same here as Cruz backs Fox as they attack the GOP. Cruz is a career politician who looks out for number 1. Always. Really sad to see because he had so much potential. What a waste.
One of the reasons that Trump has become my favorite candidate (anybody can check my posting history and see I favored Cruz until last week) is the seeming timidity of Cruz, that he may have a small amount of the Bush fixation to not want to confront the dems.
Cruz is a great debater, a great expositor of conservatism and one of our greatest current senators, he's a good conservative man.
I see his lack of executive experience, and his lack of a record of fighting for something and winning as showing a slight lack of strength.
I'll vote for Cruz if he wins, I like him, but that lack of strength may not be what we need right now.
