Donald Trumpâs criticisms of Megyn Kelly have been weak, sexist, thin-skinned. His decision to back out of Thursday nightâs debate is childish and reflects a fear of having to debate his competitors on issues facing the country.
All that said, this dispute is turning into a spectacle with two losers. Fox News unwisely sent out a statement yesterday designed to mock the Republican front-runner for his decision to launch a Twitter poll on whether he should participate in the debate. Hereâs what that statement said:
We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president â a nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings.
On CNNâs âNew Dayâ this morning, co-host Alisyn Camerota, who formerly worked at Fox News, espied certain fingerprints on that statement: âGod, this is such typical Roger Ailes playbook. I worked for him for many years; I recognize this.â
Other pundits recognize it as well â and theyâre using it to aver that Trump has some firm footing in bailing on Fox News. Firm footing that heâd never have otherwise.

Fox under growing criticism from their peers for demonstrating obvious bias.
And nobody blaming trump for bailing on it.
Trump would be under no obligation to talk to Putin or the Ayatollah if he felt there was no benefit to doing so.
Yeah yeah yeah “Sexist” statements Good grief, do women want to be in the real professional world or not. It’s ok to bash the boys but don’t dare say anything like about Megyn who’s been nothing but disappointing with her “questions”
Now that was “Sexist” trying to paint Trump with such a broad brush and into a corner.
I’m so sick of PC and sissyboy “journalists” I could scream
Yes a completely different primary after being ambushed by Google activist plants!!!
there is a lot for Cruz and his supporters to celebrate over tonight.
Ten times as much tomorrow evening.
I can see it on thread after thread.
“weak, sexist, thin-skinned”
Total B.S. The guy is saying no to stupidity and MSM stacking the deck against him. He already took Kelly on before and won. Doesn’t want to waste his time. He comes out ahead now and after this so-called “debate” is over. Trump has already won this contest. He beats the MSM. When was the last time somebody did that?
BTW, nobody knows what “sexist” is. The stupidest term in the universe is “sexist.”
Fox News should be ashamed.
I’m wondering how much truth there may be to Fox being given instructions on taking out Trump due to Rupert donating to open borders organizations.
That chick is dying for someone to bang her.
The Compost still doesn’t get it
wonder what McDonald’s Meagan is going to be working at?
probably the one under Rock Plaza. It’s close.
She’ll be cashier. Ailes will work the grill
Tweet from John Phillips who I think is a radio jock in LA: The GOP debate without @realDonaldTrump is like the Jackson 5 without Michael. Enjoy watching Tito and Jermaine....I’ll be at dinner
The Muslim girl there who compared Trump to Hitler to ask a question.
Where were the Benghazi family members Hillary lied to brought in to question her?
Republicans have already done 6 debates. Most polls had Trump winning them all, especially the last one.
This is about ratings and a hit job on Trump right before the voting starts.
Exactly right . Trump saw it coming and outsmarted them . Hopefully people will turn off FOX
You go first.
Who of them are still alive and who is dead.
Trump just shot @FoxNews in the middle of 5th Avenue...— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) January 27, 2016
You are right. He could always make a make a face at them.
