A new think tank report takes aim at the Black Lives Matter movement's contention that law enforcement’s use of lethal force unequally targets blacks compared to other racial or ethnic groups.
According to the report by the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research, not only are a higher percentage of whites and Hispanics killed by police, the greater threat to blacks comes from violent criminals within their own communities.
"The evidence does not support the conclusion that American police are waging a racist war against blacks," Manhattan senior fellow Heather Mac Donald writes.
"The Black Lives Matter movement has been a counterproductive distraction from the real violence problem facing black communities: violence from criminals, not the police," the report concludes. ...

The profile of incident in the black community is more severe and that explains why the greater level of tragedy in addressing it.
They ought to be invited to militia their own community and start logging what that looks like.

More blacks are murdered annually by other blacks than all blacks murdered by non-blacks for over one hundred years. And even many of the blacks lynched were guilty of their crimes. But I don't approve of lynching.
I should have said “lynched” (instead of murdered) for over one hundred years. But even the numbers of blacks murdered by non-blacks for over one hundred years scarcely exceeds the numbers of blacks murdered by other blacks annually.
